90% of Lijo's movies were theater failures, but now all of them are considered gems. This person doesn't know anything about Lijo's movies. Moreover, Malaikottai Vaaliban received positive responses from India's best reviewers and directors, like Anurag Kashyap. The legend Padmarajan already proved long back that the Malayali audience are 20 years behind. Padmarajan's movies with Mohanlal were theater flops, just like Vaalipan, but all those became cult classics.

Mohanlal, as an actor, isn't bound by the same limitations as Mammootty, Director Fazil once said that Mohanlal can pull off a bunch of different acting styles, about 7 to 8 types, while Mammootty is more limited, maybe 1 to 2 types. Mammootty is not as versatile in comedy, action, or romance roles. The only aspect where he is better than Mohanlal is in terms of physical appearance. When talking about script selection, Mohanlal may have made some poor choices, but he still has more hits than Mammootty despite having done fewer movies. Even though Mammootty has good script selection, he has experienced 2 field out, before "New Delhi" and "Bheeshma Parvam,". he faced setbacks.
