RamjiRao speaking is a terrific movie. They remade it in Tamil as well with Prabhu and Revathi and VKR (Arangetra Vaelai), it's one of my go to laughter movies till these days. I watched the Tamil version on VHS aka deck back in the beginning of 90s. Never knew that original was from Malayalam, then after some time as the years went by watched in Malayalam that too 15 years back I guess.

I have watched many movies of him, the movie which surprised me was MAZHA though Comercially not well received he has portrayed the character very well. Original Novel name is Thukkicha Parvathy. That movie changed the perspection of malayalam actors. Every one played their character outstanding. Lal is a legend in his chosen field. (MAZHA is in youtube..you can try)
