Malakkappara (malakkapara) or Malakhappara is a small hill station in in Thrissur district of the state of Kerala, India. This place is situated on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Valparai is a hill station in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Nallamudi Viewpoint has vistas of the Anamalai Hills in the Western Ghats, and surrounding tea estates. To the northwest, in Kerala, Parambikulam Tiger Reserve is a forested area, with teak plantations and trails, sheltering tigers and Indian elephants. Northeast of town, the Anamalai Tiger Reserve is home to tigers, panthers, elephants and macaques.

മദ്ധ്യകേരളത്തിൽ തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ ചാലക്കുടി താലൂക്കിൽ, സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നതും അതിരപ്പള്ളി പഞ്ചായത്തിനു കീഴിലുള്ളതുമായ ഒരു ചെറുഗ്രാമമാണ് മലക്കപ്പാറ അഥവാ മാലാഖപ്പാറ (Malakkappara). സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 900 മീറ്ററാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തിൻറെ ശരാശരി ഉയരം. ജില്ലാ തലസ്ഥാനമായ തൃശൂരിൽനിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 110 കിലോമീറ്റർ തെക്കു ഭാഗത്തായിട്ടാണ് ഈ ഗ്രാമം നിലനില്ക്കുന്നത്. ഈ ഗ്രാമത്തിൻറെ അതിരുകൾ തെക്ക് അങ്കമാലി, പാറക്കടവ് എന്നിവയും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് മാള, വടക്ക് കൊടകര എന്നിവയാണ്. മലക്കപ്പാറയ്ക്കു ഏറ്റവും സമീപസ്ഥമായ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ചാലക്കുടി (ദൂരം 83 കിലോമീറ്റർ), അഷ്ടമിച്ചിറ (ദൂരം 90 കിലോമീറ്റർ), ഇരിഞ്ഞാലക്കുട (ദൂരം 96 കിലോമീറ്റർ), ഗുരുവായൂർ എന്നിവയാണ്. എറണാകുളം, തൃശൂർ ജില്ലകളുടെ അതിർത്തിയിലാണ് ഇതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ പാറക്കടവ് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഏറ്റവുമടുത്ത റെയിൽവേസ്റ്റേഷൻ 83 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ചാലക്കുടിയാണ്.
തമിഴ്‌നാട്‌ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ കോയമ്പത്തൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു താലൂക്കും ഹിൽസ്റ്റേഷനുമാണ് വാൽപ്പാറ (തമിഴ്: வால்பாறை). സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും 3500 അടി (1,100 മീറ്റർ) ഉയരത്തിൽ പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരകളിലെ ആനമലൈ കുന്നുകളിൽ, കോയമ്പത്തൂരിൽ നിന്നും 100 കിലോമീറ്റർ (62 മൈൽ) അകലെയും പൊള്ളാച്ചിയിൽ നിന്ന് 65 കിലോമീറ്ററുകൾ (40 മൈൽ) ദൂരത്തിലുമാണ് ഈ ഹിൽസ്റ്റേഷൻ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത്. അത് കൊണ്ടു തന്നെ വിവിധ സസ്യ, ജന്തു, പക്ഷി വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് സമ്പന്നമാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശം. ഇവിടെയുള്ള ഭൂരിഭാഗം പ്രദേശങ്ങളും സ്വകാര്യ തോട്ടങ്ങളാണ്. വനഭൂമിയിൽ സന്ദർശകർക്ക് പ്രവേശനമില്ല. കോയമ്പത്തൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 100 കിലോമീറ്ററും പൊള്ളാച്ചിയിൽ നിന്ന് 65 കിലോമീറ്ററുമാണ് ദൂരം. അഴിയാറിൽ നിന്ന് വാൽപ്പാറയിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള റോഡിൽ 40 ഹെയർ പിൻ വളവുകളുണ്ട്. വലിയ വനമേഖലകൾ തൊട്ടംമേഖലയുടെ പരിധിക്കപ്പുറം തുടരുന്നു.[1] തമിഴ്നാട് സർക്കാർ റിസോർട്ടുകളും മറ്റുമുണ്ടാക്കി ഇവിടെ ടൂറിസം വികസിപ്പിക്കാൻ സഹായം ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.
