Welcome back my friend. Excellent review as always..and luck you weren't on the 737 which often flies this route. Seats similar to the A 330-300 which I have flown on many times between Melbourne and KL. You are exposed in the aisle seats and yes the bed is just ok but not enough room for your feet. I found by almost reclining the bed not to fully flat made it more comfortable. Malaysia crews are fantastic as is the satay...glad you enjoyed the food and the flight !! Looking forward to our next trip !!

Nice review Jayden! It’s nice to see they still keep the legendary satay service in business class which is very classic to both Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines. That champagne pouring was a bit clumsy though..

Always very informative and honest reviews .MH have a very good J product and the food and service is very good .Their Golden lounge in KL is very good and their Nap room is a bonus especially if you have a long layover .The Lounge can be hard to find though

Blue Tupperware case to assemble the bottles? Looks very economy. They might want to use local rotten basket to give a vintage look and evergreen presence as well as some local design flavor while serving in the cabin. My opinion tho.

Well done. Something that really annoys me when watching KZbin reviews is when the reviewer seems more interested in getting their face on the screen than showing me the product or location I have come to see. You got this just tight, showing the viewer very briefly on only a couple of occasions your face. I will soon be flying Malaysian airlines Brisbane to Manila business class, and it is good to see hat I can expect. Keep up the good work.

Great video, Jayden! It looked like the service was great (and the satay looked delicious too!). I'm surprised how much your seat was exposed to the aisle. That would make me uncomfortable as I sleep. I would be nice if they could extend the shell or arm rest to provide a little more privacy.

It's an ex Air Berlin A330 so the seats aren't really MH's. The configuration is 1-2-1 but they managed to make it narrow haha. Thank you for watching!

In fairness to MAS this is only a regional route. Imagine if you were to take a flight of this length in Europe the biz class seating would be little better than Y class (only the middle seat of three is guaranteed unsold) ... and chances are it would be a narrow-body aircraft.

In Europe short haul flights (not exceeding 2 hours flight), the standard for most carriers is to fly with narrow body aircraft [A32X or B737) with 3-3 seats config (in biz class, they left the middle seat free). However, in some seasonal destinations (e.g. the Canary Islands), UX sometimes fly with A330-200.

Certainly on the longer European routes to Moscow, St Petersburg, Athens, Istanbul and Tel Aviv (remember Israel is classified in Europe as a European destination for political reasons) you will find airlines *generally* use narrow-bodied aircraft. Took Malaysia Airlines' A332 (the same type in this video) from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei before, I found it very hard to sit in the business class especially when the tray table is way too far from you, and you will have to move forward further in order to enjoy your meal. The aircraft is quite old and worn out, will try to avoid this model in the future, which means no flight from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei, Perth & Auckland.

Functional appears to be the right word for this business class offering, except for the food and the MA crew, who are always special, although i did notice one FA seving a hot beverage holding it by the rim and not the handle . I too would be worried about ending up on the aisle floor during the night lol. Great video as always Jayden.

@@JaydenWong thanks! I just found out from the forums that out of the six 332s, two have been retrofitted (9M-MTY and 9M-MTZ) and hence A/K is actually by the aisle! But the seat map on airline did not reflect those changes! 😅😰 I'm flying their A332 tmr so I am a bit worried that I get an aisle K instead! Currently am booked on 2K.

I recently flew the MH A330-300 on the KUL-BNE and was left feeling incredibly underwhelmed with both the hard and soft products. In fact, I was so underwhelmed that I cancelled my return leg with MH and re-booked with Cathay Pacific.

Frankly I find these aircraft disappointing compared to the A333 or A359... row 4 is better. But not all aircraft in the leased ex Air Berlin A332 have the identical config. One can be caught out!

Great review, it looks as though MH has the same interior for Air Berlin in business, but in economy did they have upgraded the seats with USB ports?

That's true, LATAM offers very cheap business class from Frankfurt to Madrid, possibly cheaper than some economy class on other airlines. Thank you for watching!
