Congratulations adik. I just found your channel. You are just like me 20 years ago. Now I m 47. But unfortunately at that time no smartphone to make instant videos and to upload kat youtube. we just used Nokia je. Masa tu, I also travel a lot like you. Initially, i travelled alone to Aussie, Turkey and Albania. I have a friend in Tirana whom I knew in KL and he invited me to his village (in 2000) in the middle of nowhere in Albania. Masa tu Albania tak develop, baru open up from communism. Memang susah kehidupan mereka, I mandi pakai air sejuk masa spring time, rumah mereka pakai arangkayu, sejuk gila waktu malam. Lps tu dia orang ajak I kahwin dgn Albanian girl, tapi tak de jodoh. The next year (2001), I went to Iran to my friend house whom I also knew in Malaysia. Iranian memang friendly... we should forget about sunni/shiah... we are all Muslim... sunni/shiah tu like catholic/protestant in Christian. They proposed me to marry Iranian girls, and brought me few houses to see the bride. In 2002, I came back to Iran from UK (while I tengah further my PhD) kat Uni of London. I was proposed to one girl and it ends up I married to the girl in 2003. I have ceremony like you also... in a hotel in Teheran, attended by many people and they also macam Arab... like to dance. Her family is very open minded. My marriage berkekalan sampai sekarang and I have 1 son 16 + and one daughter (13+). Apa2 org nak cakap shiah ke apa pun I tak kisah coz fundamentally we are all muslims . Masa Rasulallah mana ada sunni shiah hanya satu sahaja iaitu agama Islam. We follow Rasulallah bukan politik sunni/syiah. After marriage I also travel banyak country mainly by driving.... almost all Aussie states, New Zealand north island, Turkey... east (Van, Adanya), central (Altalya, Cappadocia, Ankara), west (Istanbul), all Syria (sebelum Syrian war), Italy (Turin-Milan-Florence), Monaco, France (Nice-Paris), Spain (Andalusia), Scotland (Edinburg-Glasgow-Aberdeen), England (London and surroundings, Birmingham, Bath), Holland (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-The Hague), Belgium (Bruges, Brussels), Germany (Cologne, Dusseldoff, Bonn), Luxembourg, Asia countries (Indonesia- East Java, Bali, Thailand-south, Vietnam- Hanoi, Laos Luang Prabang), China (Beijing) and Russia (Moscow). I found you very much like me- open minded and accepting other cultures easily. I hope there are more Malay guys like you. Dulu2 Malay ni inferiority complex, kalau lelaki Melayu nak kahwin Middle Eastern girl ke, European girl ke... everybody make jokes but if Malay girls married mat salleh/ pak Arab- they feel on top of the world. I have corrected that misconception and I am happy nowadays that more Malay guys are brave and have overcame the inferiority complex feeling/thinking that we used to have which was being nurtured by our society in the past. All the best to you adik. Hope you and your wife being granted with lovely kids in the near future. I also plan to visit Egypt once the pandemic is over... and if you plan to extensively travel to Iran/Iraq... I have people there and I can recommend to you. Wow, its nice to hear this! Im sure it was more difficult for you to travel back then but yet more adventure. For me, atleast we have the smart phone for navigation, language translation and ofcourse the photo memories. Yeah, I also had ‘takde jodoh’ in some countries but at the end the day, jodoh di tangan Allah and it doesnt matter what or where. Honestly, I was partly inspired to go travel like this from a Malaysian uncle, who travelled overland during the 70’s and used the hippie trail 😉 Thank you for your wish and support.
