This is my first time watching your content. While I won't say these are the best recommendations because mixed rice is rather subjective. Normally people will go for mixed rice due to the price and the convenience to their office / home. Well, at least to me la. But I really enjoy your content. mixed rice in chinese community has been a long history especially the Teo Chew people. in the older days most people eat at home, so only few dishes even in small town. chinese eating history has always about choices even back in those days. in Klang Valley it started growing when outstation student came and chinese don't just eat wantan mee, laksa etc for every meal and always wanted more varieties. nothing to do with Mamak food or lauk. Teo chew people started way long ago. also origin concept has never same as buffet, none will know buffet concept back in 70's 80's
