It's generally agreed that individuals who can't speak basic English are unlikely to be from Malaysia. Malaysia has a strong reputation for providing excellent English education. Therefore, it's highly impossible for someone not to possess at least basic English speaking skills if they are from Malaysia. These workers here are mostly from Indonesia. I speak from experience and this is my home. So i know better.

23:13 Just for your info, when azan (calling for prayer) is calling, Muslim must break their fast immediately. you should give her time to break her fast immediately after almost 13 hours of fasting. you can look at her face when azan is calling, she felt bit annoyed i guess because she cannot break her fast right after azan. You may ask her to have a sip of water before continue buying you food. look at people at the back, they running to get their drink when azan i calling. lesson learned. btw, thanks for visit Malaysia. hope you enjoy your journey here

During iftar time there will be less variety of food have to come a bit earlier like at 5pm also there is less vendors nearing Eid day because most will be busy preparing for Eid. I am a malaysian from Borneo Sabah East Malaysia and i am disgusted by those people who sells cant even speak and understand english when ask or confronted by customer..because i believe most or majority if not all malaysian can speak and understand English fluently..but by the way those people are not malaysian..they are actually foreigners from neighbouring country to earn a living here in Malaysia working as an employee to Malaysian Employer(Master) as their basic command and knowledge of English is Very Poor..they just shake their head or keep quiet in disbelief to show that they dont even understand English what people ask for..let alone speaking😂..Your Dad in law seems to be so happy to be here in malaysia by the way his expression is..Welcome to Malaysia Guys..Cheers
