Malbec 18 sportboat features review

My brother Tom lives up that way and sails a Hobie. I would enjoy getting out there to do some sailing on Lake Pend Oreille.

She's cute! Neat! Now, near as I can tell, the Modern Sailor must be able to handle a boat AND a camera at the same time.

Very similar to the West Wight Potter 19.

In some ways but in other ways not. WWP19 freeboard is much taller and its simply more boxy than this boat. I tell people I feel like the WWP19 is like sailing a box. Does not sail to weather well and pretty sluggish on all points of sail. the Malbec18 has less freeboard, has lower center of effort, sails beautifully on all points of sail. She sails to weather like a race boat. I do not own what I do not love to sail. Plus I use it for my sailing classes. I absolutely love it. This boat reminds me more of a Montgomery 17 or Sage 17. Similar sailing performance. Also super easy to rig, etc. I could go on and on but do not want to bore you.
