And she is all over that guy. Of course, the only demon in the Abyss she will definitely NOT fuck is Grazz't. Everything else, from Demogorgon to the lowliest dretch, is at least a "maybe". But IIRC, Malcanthet's biggest kink is seeing her enemies humiliated, practically Grazz't. The prospect of seeing the guy's ambitions foiled may be enough for her to help even a good-aligned party work against him. I have this adventure running around in my head where the PCs delve into the Abyss to try and foil some plot Grazz't is cooking up, only to get captured by Demogorgon to be subjected to whatever horrors the mad two-headed demon lord decides to inflict on them. Knowing of their quest, Malcanthet appears before them while in Demogor and offers to help them out, . If they take up her offer, she goes to Demogorgon and convinces him to let the PCs go. The next morning (or whatever passes for morning on Demogorgon's layer) the PCs are brought before the Prince of Demons and he explains that after some deliberation with Malcanthet, he's decided that the PCs aren't a threat to him and he's going to let them go.

I thought it was amusing that it was brought up “this sounds like Devil stuff” In Dragon Magazine 417 (Fallen Angels) there is the lore of how Asmodeus, Lilith, and Malcanthet were all once angels, who had fallen and become devils. They both wanted Daddy Asmo’s favor and took on rivaling tasks. Lilith was used to sway angels and became the queen of succubus in hell, while Malcanthet took her devil followers to the abyss to conquer the layer she now controls, and took on her own title of queen of succubi. After becoming the baby mama for Demogorgan she had allies of the strongest creatures in both the abyss and the hells. Though when Demogorgan decided to pull a reckless stunt and she felt like Baby Daddy Demo was no longer a safety net, she returned to Asmo, where I believe she currently is again in the lore. Can’t confirm that last bit. I think it’s on her wiki though.

Pretty sure in Faerun/Toril, the week is 10 days, hence they use the term "tenday" rather than "week", and i also think there are 30 days per month, and only 10 months, meaning only 300 days in the year, so 600 days is just 2 years, whereas IRL it would be 365x2, or 730.

I thought of a fun way to slip Malcanthet into at least one published D&D campaign: In _Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus,_ there is a demiplane emporium called the Wandering Emporium, one that is frequented by all sorts of denizens of the Lower Planes (save perhaps for demons). Since she's got Asmodeus wrapped around her little finger and she's not actively participating in the Blood War, Malcanthet not only has the freedom to come and go from the Emporium as she pleases, but is a frequent customer of the Emporium's massage parlor, which is run by a captured marilith. A sufficiently attractive character of either sex can potentially convince her to fork over a coupon for a massage that they would otherwise have to spend soul coins on...a massage with a gameplay-affecting benefit.

I had a fantastic time playing as a Thrall of Malcanthet. But the idea that Shendilavri and Malcanthet seem diabolic is intentional, because lust and passion are domains which have never known laws. The whole region is designed to drain all sanity and reason from mortals. Thus, all while one is thinking that they may be able to depend on a certain diabolic stability, in reality, this is all a giant deception, further dooming the hapless mortal. Awesome video guys.

Since when are succubi Tanaari? The first of them were Erinyes. They’ve always been neutral evil, which is why they exist on all infernal planes and why they can freely travel to the prime material, like the Erinyes.

Since 1st edition. Succubi were originally Tanar'ri though 3rd edition. The designers decided that they way the corrupted mortals was more lawful evil then chaotic evil and retconned them into Baatezu in 4th edition. They were retconned again in 5th edition to be neither baatezu or tanar'ri and are now neutral evil, but they do work with both and live in both the abyss and the nine hells.

@@Marcus21H There were no tanaari in the 1st edition. They were devils in 1st. Tanaari and batezu were changes made in 2nd. Succubi, incubi and erinyes were the only ones that could travel to the prime unsummoned, which is what makes them unique. Even the princes of the hells and the demon lords were incapable of that. I'm certainly glad that I never played 4e or 5e now.

*WotC = Hasbro!* There are plenty of D&D fans who love D&D with their whole being working there, but they are not the executives in charge of keeping the brands held by WotC profitable at Hasbro. Those people are mostly former Microsoft executives with extensive experience in monetizing videogames and creating monopolies, and they are applying what they learned there to Hasbro and its brands. Is it good? No. It's not the best way in the market they came from, and it's created even more backlash and ill will when employed in their current market. *TL;DR: Wizards of the Coast is just a division of Hasbro and Hasbro is now run like a tech company by tech company executives.*
