I lived in Saudi since I was born. And based on my experience I didn’t see any issues with them. The majority of people welcome all Muslims however there might be some ignorants roaming around. Those eventually gets punished by the law the sharia law.

Racial segregation is not even a concept in North Africa. I lived there and if you refer to someones skin color as a descriptor they take that as highly impolite and Muslims really are the best people. Arab slave trade was not only to enslave blacks, but also Arabs as well. It has nothing to do with Islamic teachings since Muslims have not always to the teachings by treating their fellow brothers and sisters in Islam with fair and just.
