Elijah Muhammad ran the N.O.I until he died 2 days before saivors day of 1975. Warith deen had been kicked out of the nation 2-3 times before he was admitted back right befor Elijah's death. But Wallace or Warith had absolutely no power within the nation until 75. Also, Farrakhan intially went with Warith himself and didn't separate from him until 78 and didn't attempt to restart the nation until 79.
