Has such an optimistic feel to it. Like it is trying to describe the feeling of an unknown but eventful future, just like Yasunori Mitsuda intended. This is why your remakes are so good, they try to capture the original intent of the composer instead of trying to create something entirely new.

I can confidently say, what mitsuda-san wrought while working on CT is beyond timeless, so many remixes, reimagining's and versions of songs from the game, all of them beautiful, including the original 16 bit versions in their original glory... I have become infinitely more sentimental as I have gotten older, so many of these tracks touch me somewhere deep and lead me to tears, both in the beauty of the music itself but also in the way it transports me to times and places long past and far away...

This is such a beautiful song. As other comments have said, this game is nearly perfect, with one of the most uplifting and epic endings ever. The game is almost always in the top ten of lists of "Best games of all time." It makes sense why there's been no true sequel or a remake. It's hard to touch perfection. Given that it was my favorite SNES game, I thought it was a war crime for it not to be on the SNES Classic.

I was one of the lucky ones who grabbed this game immediately upon release (I still have my original SNES copy) and spent about six months fully absorbed in it, finishing it multiple times and going out of my way to get all the different endings. I'm not sure why but I didn't get this one for a while, as I write this I can't remember the exact circumstances that are required to achieve it. When I got it I was expecting something much less, an ending I'd already gotten or something, but as Crono and Marle flew above the clouds I was really taken aback and almost kind of heartbroken. It was such a beautiful and unexpected ending, yet it also felt so deserved and perfect after I'd gotten to know and spend so much time with this game and its characters. I don't know what ending is considered the official canon one but for me it's this one, and this melody is what I'd quite probably consider to be the greatest tune ever made for a video game. It's just such a perfect, magical ode to bittersweet memories of youth and love, and the hopeful optimistic hope for the future. Truly an amazing scene, an amazing tune, an amazing ending for an amazing game. Stuff like this comes once in a lifetime.
@vksasdgaming9472 Жыл бұрын
Discounting special endings of New Game+ you have basically two endings available and they depend on use of Wings of Time. If they are used to crash through Lavos you get ending with balloons and Crono and Marle being caught by them. If Wings of Time are intact ending is the one in which Crono's mom chases cat to portal that closes and Crono & co. start to search for them. I personally prefer ending with Wings of Time.

VVVVV Race Through the night Toward the light Toward the past Now at last, I'll ask you: Come fly away with me To far away times in our memory! We'll be together and free In far away dreams, just wait and see! Just take my hand We'll be okay There's nothing they can do To take our love away! Oh Come fly away with me To far away times in our memory! We'll be together and free In far away dreams just wait and see! No harm will find us now, The danger's behind us now At last, there is nothing left to fear I'll wipe the teardrops from your face, And we'll share a warm embrace As we finally have found Our place... Soft Bright clouds Fields of green Like we'd seen Long ago When we were young And the sun Was there To stay... Please stay... Come fly away with me Into far away times We'll be together and free When we're in far away times Where there's nothing No one To keep us apart 'Cause I'm there In your heart...
