Most of the richest Maldives children studied in Sri Lankan private colleges. Specially, in St. Peter's college, Colombo 4. I have to mention here about one our college'sfamous Rugby player /captain Ali Didi was from Maldives. Even for the medical treatment they all coming here to Sri Lanka. If you check carefully, you would find lot of Maldeve citizens living in Dehiwela area. They are very close to sri lanka and this is their second home actually. 👌👍👍

Son of ousted Maldivian king studied in Carey College.
Maladiva was most likely apart of Sinhale. Both Divehi and Mal languages of Maldive are dialects of Sinhala. The last Sultan of Maladive while exiled in Singapore wrote on his website , that the islands belong to Ceylon. Think also they built the first mosque in Male with the permission of J R Jayawardena.
