Hello! Some things I'd like to clear up for future visits! on Fridays, the entire city will come to a halt for 1 hour from 12pm to 1pm for the Friday Prayers The Maldivian Weekend is Friday and Saturday The lack of motorbike safety gear is pretty unconcerning as the speed limit is 25kph, and it is the main form of transportation for almost 70% of the city population rent can range from 300USD to 1000USD depending on if you're renting a Privately owned residence or a Company owned Residence Most Maldivians will know how to speak English as we follow the British curriculum For disposing rubbish when walking around, look for red and blue pill shaped bins usually around publics squares a government owned Waste management corporation known as WAMCO will clean up the city twice a day and transport all of the Garbage to Thilafushi for landfill or Incineration To take the bus you must have an e-ticket purchased from the RTL app or a bus card, Which MTCC will issue from one of their two terminals in Malé city. Malé has four kinds of Buses:- Inner Malé minibuses that travel the Majeedhee magu route and will carry you to stops around the inner and outer city Airport buses that go straight from greater Malé terminal to the Airport Intercity buses that will take you across the bridge to either Phase 1 or Phase 2 of Hulhumale Inner Hulhumale buses that travel between phase 1 and 2 Hope you found this useful!

Jax, thank you very much for your comment and the detail info, they are very helpful not only for us, but also for our viewers too. This is our first time to Maldives, the experience was eye-opening but absolutely enjoyed it. Keep an eye for our next video release about local island Villingili, and Hulhumale city walk around. Thank you.

Can you do water sports from male city without going to islands ?
@AlanLawSydney3 күн бұрын
@@harryp3804 I don’t think they have in Male city, but they do in Hulhumale, it’s on the other side of the bridge, only 15 taxi ride. I mentioned this in my other video - Exploring The Largest Man-made Island Hulhumale. You can check it out. Thank you for watching

Very few Maldivians actually live in those buildings...its usually workers from other countries that live there...or families from other islands putting their children through school. Maldivians own property across the globe.

If you knew the political history of the islands you would / should never go there.
