RmleLoup #2 I have never heard that. As a 20 year veteran otr truck driver I’ve been to all 48 states in the continental USA and Canada. That was not a zipper merge, there for the car is required to merge safely. Learn the laws or don’t drive

#2 is 100% the cammers fault, regardless of how that muppet commentating tries to spin it. The cammer was in a merge lane, the other vehicle maintained their own lane the entire time, and they do not have to give way to the person merging. The person merging has to wait and do so when it is safe, not wait until literally the last second of the lane and force their way over expecting everyone else to get out of their way. The pickup truck absolutely does not turn into her.

I agree. Defensive driving 101, avoid the accident! Could've let this dummy fly by and merge like they legally should have done. Obviously the truck speeding up to block them isn't ideal but a good driver takes all that into account and lets their ego go.

I’m sure both of you psychopaths know better than the insurance adjusters who do that for a living who put 100% fault on the truck, but you somehow forgot the part where you have an obligation to avoid collisions even if you have the right of way.

@@hotdoggington6962 I never said you shouldn't, but there is no excuse for what the cammer did. They quite clearly didn't bother using their mirrors, they also were very clearly not paying attention given they didn't attempt to merge until they had no choice. You don't force your way over. If they used their mirrors they'd have seen the truck, slowed down and merged behind. Or, while the truck was a distance behind safely merged before the end of that lane

#2, zipper merge, most states have it, Canada wide has it. It stated merge, which is whomever first (cam car), then truck then next then next and so on. I side with the insurances findings literally. The cam car tried to avoid and the truck pulled into them briefly and caused it.
