Can someone enlighten me on how someone can think being child free is a “bad influence?” I have an aunt and uncle who are both a childless couple (they did try for a child but had a miscarriage) and they have been nothing but warm and loving to me and my sister. I picked up some of my most valuable life lessons from THEM, and a lot of my best childhood memories came from spending time with them, particularly my aunt, whom I’m still quite close with. So…where is the bad influence that comes from being “child-free”?
@amanofmanyparts91202 жыл бұрын
My late wife and I were 'child free'. Not by choice. But we raised more than a few other people's children. Until *very* recently it seemed that my ex-partner and I could become parents, but ... circumstances ... have got in the way, and we've split up.
@VENOM-tx6gp2 жыл бұрын
Cant you see it was never about children The original poster was going through tough times, and he simply didnt wanted to give a shit about that. So he came up with that excuse (Dealing with a person who is going through tough times, is tough, one should do that only if they are close to oneself, and i really dont blame him for that moment, I wouldnt even call him wrong when he asked for help, he was out of options (although wtf is a water heater problem) He went stupid when he had the audacity to literally demand for help) Edit- okay, FUCK! I wrote this before watching the full video And i have some change in my opinion now

Bceause the person is for some reason stuck to old fashioned sexist ideals. To them womens main goals in life should be to get married and have kids.
@bbureau122 жыл бұрын
It's not just kids. I've seen it with religion/atheism, motorbikes, music, movies, television shows. If you aren't interested in their obsession, you must be against it. Some people will insist on trying to gently convert you to their cause (come on over, we'll watch GoT together. You'll like it because I'll fill you in on every character's backstory.) Others will get pissed and think you're disrespecting them by not sharing their interests (had a neighbor get pissed because I didn't know what make/model his bike was.)
@heiveldboy2 жыл бұрын
Whenever someone tells me I'm being selfish I just respond: "Yeah. I am. I am prioritizing my own needs over yours." You'd be surprised how often that stops someone in their tracks. They're so used to people denying this that they haven't prepared for someone saying "yeah, tough luck for you."

She had a LARGE FOOD PANTRY, so plenty of food to STEAL from her, as well as that HUGE HOUSE they could Seemingly force her from. This TOXIC and Abusive couple seems like they didn't really care about any friends and SOLD before they had a plan. Then Refused to lower their standards even though the COST of the house the wanted was Double what they had, and likely still Tipple what they have. You dont get this TOXIC at the drop of a hat unless she has just RUINED HIS MASTER PLAN to evict her from her own home.

1st story, yeah....there is NO WAY that I would touch this with a 10 ft pole. #1 you are a single woman with no children. HE is a married man with children, that is not your friend (per his words). #2 a hot water heater is NOT a reason to move out. I have lived without a hot water heater for over 9 months due to cost to have my entire house gas replumbed. A water heater replacement itself is a few hours....I replaced mine in less than 2 hours.
