Clockwise or anticlockwise, sometimes it balances left to right also when it's male. But best way is grandmas way, point usually males

I tried this with my stainless steel cross necklace and I put the eggs down (one at a time) in a spot where it won't move. My hand completely still and it started to move it a circle and moved faster and bigger. Then the other egg moved in a line and same got faster and longer. Circle (Hen) Line ( Roster).

I was always told that the pointy end of an egg is a Roo and a blunt tip end is a hen. Pointy end is longer bc Roo's need more room Not sure if true but last year I tried it and I had a 98 % hens and 3 ROO'Soo's
