Moto has turned out to be an incredible dad to daughter, Zuri! Since her birth in 2013, Paradise Wildlife Park has stopped the breeding of white lions due to various factors such as health problems, welfare and EAZA and BIAZA regulations.

@Molly McCullagh We do not breed from any white cat species at the park, but are going to continue to provide the ones we do have with the highest quality of welfare until they pass away in the future, upon which we will not look to bring in another white cat species. Instead will focus on working with endangered animals that can assist in international breeding programmes with the aim of doing our part to create more stable numbers for those species, and eventually, look to release some back into the wild.

b zanon males won’t bother because they want to mate with the lionesses in the new pride and don’t want to damage them. Don’t forget that males are nomads and hunt alone until the find a new pride. Lionesses usually hunt in groups and if the animal is too large, the male comes to the rescue. Lionesses are never alone, they are always protected by a male and when a new male becomes the leader of the pride, they almost ALWAYS fail to protect their cubs from being killed. Also, the male is much more capable at fighting other lions that a lioness, because that is what he does his entire life. It rests all day because when a threat comes, he is the one who will fight the intruder, many times to the death. When lionesses kill the prey, the male lion feeds first and doesn’t let anyone near the food until he is over. A male lion can destroy a lioness if he chooses to. He is much stronger, more keen fighter and has testosterone which make him fearless. Also, lionesses don’t love their cubs the way humans do. Some days after the new leader kills them, they mate with him hundreds of times and they are the ones who pursue the mating.
