Malectrics Spot Welder review with 0.2 mm pure nickel strip - so much better than the KKMoon unit!

The Malectrics spot welder not even breaking a sweat welding at 0.2 mm pure nickel. The KKMoon 5000W unit couldn't even come close to the strength of these welds!

I had the V3 version of this spot welder and absolutely loved that thing my wife tossed it in the trash along with the Turnigy battery that was another $75 at the time (probably a lot more now) I'm so mad will need to get the V4 now.

Thank you for the review! Your video saved me from buying another Chinese spot welder after the first one turned out to be a weak peace of sh..t. I was looking at welders in similar price range but after your video I directly purchased this welder an boy am I happy with it. It welds 0.2mm strips easily!

That unit you're talking about with 5kW is a measure of the capacity of the internal battery, but it's the other hardware that determines the power it outputs on each weld. The capacity determines how long you can continue to make said welds before it stops. Anyways, wish I could find this one it looks good.

I always have a problem to Weld one strip on top of another and I can hear the bottom one disconnecting from cell, what am I doing wrong? 30 ms is to less?

Maybe you need to clean the strips with some acetone to remove any oils before you try to weld

good vid why dont u try 3layer of nickel and 0.1 or0. 15 nickel plated and 0.1 or 0.15 copper cu strip or sheet?

I don't have any of those strips! I honestly only purchased this to make my Milwaukee M12 batteries. In the future I may dive into other combinations for e-bike batteries

Kweld is a better solution. Kweld measures dissipated energy instead of just setting a pulse time.

Kweld is much more expensive (3 times the price). A new system on the market is made by ussolid models# BSW00004, BSW00005 or BSW00006. I think it is the same manufacturer as the glitter (model 801A, etc.).

@@AllAroundTube50 The units you talk about seems to break often and seems to be only delivering pulses based on milliseconds time frames, where the Kweld does it in joules delivered. Measuring the actual energi delivered to the weld is a much better way to do it. Kweld still seem like a better option regardless if it's actually more expensive or not.

That is not how you check on max current. To do that correctly right after the weld you’re meant to keep your probes for two more seconds to see how much current went into to the weld. Doing that while probes are “in the air” means nothing.
