Malenia, Blade of Miquella No Roll/Block/Skills No Upgrades/Aux No Damage

Wanted to try Iron Greatsword, pretty decent weapon. Not convinced it's actually better than Alabaster. More of a sidegrade. P2: 3:29

There are faster strats with Iron Balls, but I haven't learned those.
Got lucky at 1:17 when I missed an attack. If she had done pretty much anything else but the move she did I would have died.

the scarlet aeonia bomb? Yea you can just run under her for the inital opener. if she uses it from a distance you can still avoid it by turning directions right as she's about to hit the ground. Edit: Probably meant the slam with the rot effect. Yea pretty sure mouse figured that strafe out

I love the iron greatsword, in my opinion, its really underrated. It have way more atk power then any other greatsword. At 60 Str it only loose for the Guts sword by a measly 80 points of atk and thats an ultra greatsword. Btw, you really did a great job there. Very inpressive. I couldnt do this even i played 24/7 LOL.

The strength scaling is certainly very good. Probably underrated and underused as you say. At RL1 +0 it loses out to Alabaster in a lot of fights because that has so much better CR2 damage.

0:40 is it always safe to continue to attack her after that side hop? i notice you strafed underneath her follow up but idk if its because of the 3rd r1 or if you can do it with the second r1 as well. (sorry if this makes little sense)

Does not work on 2nd r1, but the way I play it it's always done on 1st or 3rd. It's mostly safe, but not 100%. Regular sidehop into sidehop slash like that one dies to immediate flip after the sidehop slash because 4th hit is the combo ender and is too slow, fairly rare though so I just go for it. The other way, with sidehop slash into sidehop it is always safe to do all 4. Don't try it in P2 though you will just get kicked.

Yeah, mutu's old kills with alabaster were 10-ish minutes. That new p2 dodge and a couple earlier r1s make a big difference (and not getting spammed with wfd)

Left and then right as she's coming down. Saw that in a mutu kill. It's pretty straight forward, but I did mess it up a fair bit before learning it well. Can actually do it even if you're further away, but then you could die to a slash.

Amazing performance. @00:03:01, she did the counterclockwise kick, sometimes she follows it with a flipping downward slash. I die a lot to it. Is it RNG, or a matter of positioning? Because I noticed your technique is by interrupting her attack though when I tried it, it seems she in hype armor mode.

She's going for the flip after that very kick you linked to, actually! It's a matter of timing, she only gets hyper armour a little into the move, so you have to hit her in the window after she loses hyper armour from kick, but before she gains hyper armour for the flip.

She only does it if you're far away (or after grab and stab if you're behind and at medium range). It's easy enough to just run away from. I get it in my NG+7 kill, timestamped: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3XVq6ijnNOGfqssi=gSFgSkmhsd9d3JsO&t=270 There's a close range no roll dodge for it too, but I've never learned it (nor had any reason to)
