Cheers! I want to explore this a little bit more later, as I believe many people have no idea that UX is very rarely about the users - mostly it's about abusing them ;)

The process of closing my UXPin account was riddled with dark patterns. I'm still not even sure it's been closed.

Yeah, that's unfortunate because I met some of the people who work there and they're really great. In some cases the investors push for some bad practices :/

The most Evil UXs are actually iGaming and Investing Platforms to make it "hard" to withdrawal your money.

Hi great video, If I am applying for a UI/UX jobs in Poland should my case studies and whole portfolio should be in polish or english is standard in this industry, or maybe there should be two versions?
@MalewiczHype3 жыл бұрын
I'd go with English, because even polish companies can have foreign stakeholders + there are some companies here that are 100% foreign too :)

Sir, if you were to hypothetically start your UX career tomorrow for the first time, what steps would you take to land your first internship?
@MalewiczHype3 жыл бұрын
Finish a course but then work for a few months on your portfolio to have at least 4-5 good, comprehensive case studies - then start looking for work. Without that nobody will take it seriously.

Malewicz keep up the great videos and I loved your UI design books. I want to know what technique should one use when they are assigned to redesign an existing project
@MalewiczHype3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! First do a competitive analysis to see how others do it. Then prepare an ideaboard (for UI's) of things you can combine to make the redesign. Redesign :)

Hey man! Im gonna take the hype4 academy ui design class when i finish with the google course . Is there a certificate or do you think its something i can add to my linked in / resume when applying for jobs ?
@MalewiczHype2 жыл бұрын
We do offer certificates for the Mobile Apps UI courses 1 and 2 (but as a special link, not a PDF - although you can screenshot it and post it to social media). The link is simply a better way to confirm someone really got a certificate. There are some conditions to receive it though - they only go to people who get the course with my feedback AND score a 95% quality in my feedback (meaning they're so precise in the course I have almost nothing to report as feedback - those people get the certificate) - that ensures the certificate means something though. 45 people got it out of 3500 who took the course ;)

Have been thinking about this while learning UX. What if stakeholders ask you to do this? Is there a workaround?
@MalewiczHype3 жыл бұрын
99% of the time if they ask you to create a dark pattern, they have a good idea that it's a bad thing and want it anyway. Just read Figma's privacy policy to see what I mean ;)
