I really liked the audit process you carried out. As you mentioned, you wouldn't know the actual purpose of this website. But had some ux thoughts It seems like the blue box of Kamla clearly indicates to vote vs Trump's 'join the movement' isn't that clear. If both are to cast votes then I'd keep the copy clear like Kamla's. I am bit new website design, but from a user's perspective in Kamla's upgrade ,felt like there's a lot of CTAS on the right side. With Donate on top and below. The box functionality was done well. Trump's was real upgrade, the photo was great. The design is minimal and not overloaded. From a objective perspective, it doesn't tell if I can vote for him from the website. Great work, just thought to add my thoughts.

Michał, you did an excellent job - you demonstrated that the majority of the changes are taking place in the text and navigation, not necessarily in the design. In addition, what you say at the end is interesting. A website is embedded in context, depending on what role it plays in the whole communication, where and why those who receive it come to it. Totally agree with you! In the near future, I hope to see a similar film about the Poland elections ;)

Great video, I'd love to see one of these critiques for the mobile version of the site which is probably more than half their traffic. It's a form factor that is quite restrictive/limiting but also so important.
@MalewiczHype22 күн бұрын
Yeah, that's valid to think about, but that would make the video too long + it's easier to show a horizontal header on KZbin than a long-vertical design on mobile that'd have to be zoomed in and/or scrolling.

Nice challenge and good job 😎 especially on the Harris redesign but tbh I think the trump redesign still needs work, I feel it is a bit too wordy when you first land on it - as your also seeing text below the hero there is a bit of text overload... and the imagery of him could be stronger but it definitely has a more logical flow then the original so it is an improvement 🙏

In our case we usually explain to a new client our entire process. This is a "fun exercise" with moving boxes around but it's not how we professionally do design - it's just for youtube. But you're right, may be a good idea to show more of the process in one of the next case studies we got lined up.
