Awesome! Keep in mind that you don't need to go full crazy parallax (I wanted it ;)) and just using the interlaced visuals every 2 paragraphs boosts engagement of blogs big time.
@KTaco112 ай бұрын
That's definitely a good point! Thank you for bringing that up. I agree the parallax definitely makes it feel more dynamic and fun. I might include some subtle parallax but i wanted to make it easy to be reused across different posts but not feel super "template-y" at tye sams time which is obviously easier said than done haha. And im not sure if the client will always have imagery that works for a crazy style parallax. I really like the interlaced imagery point you mentioned too! Definitely great things to think about! Thank you again and keep up the awesome work!

Honestly, I really like what you did and the creative process that took place. And I agree with you regarding the need to rethink a format that is becoming very boring and uninviting. Now when I see the creative process for an article, it can be a turn-off, because it takes too long in my opinion. However, what could really be a real step in terms of a new way of consuming a blog is to transform this article into a video story format which could be a new way of communicating with its audio while keeping the spirit that you have in mind. Especially this type of format once written down and reusable in many ways in various formats. In fact, I prefer to create content that will take me time and that can be reused in various ways. POV

I don't really agree with the way Michal presents his ideas sometimes but most of the time low conversions have to do with bad copy and bad "framing" of the value of the service. A beautiful website will still undoubtedly increase your conversions if your copy is already good.
@dinoscheidtАй бұрын
@OP Problem is „Convert“. Which is a transactional point of view, and is correct if you really really have a game of numbers strategy to sell something online. However, a large part of the internet is actually branding and recognition, further up the funnel. Your or my personal website achieved its goal when it was memorable. Because being remembered means higher likelihood of being chosen, which than converts into a service, sale, career opportunity what ever. In that regard consistency is most important though.

What do you think about animations through an SEO standpoint? Animations or anything complicated significantly reduces site speed.
@MalewiczHype2 ай бұрын
There should be a balance between speed and the wow factor for blogs. But generally in most cases people don't get to your blog post from Google anyway, they usually already know you and click from your site. And the question then is - how do you keep them reading and not click away. But yes, speed in general is important to take into consideration when you rely on SEO heavily (some niches do)
@enkvadrat_2 ай бұрын
@@MalewiczHype You should add more semantic html elements, (like an actual element for the heading and for the subheadings). And maybe a for the qoutes.
@MalewiczHype2 ай бұрын
That is on the list after I finish tweaking the visuals.
@vasilicarafiziАй бұрын
in 2024 you shoud be able to add light animations to your website that load just as fast as static images did 5 years ago
@andreasfalke2Ай бұрын
The importance of speed for SEO is often overstated. Sure, you don't want a website to take 20 seconds to load. But with internet speeds steadily increasing that barely happens anymore, not even on cell. Last year, we completely rewrote a clunky, very slow WP site with way too many plugins by hand. No WP, no plugins, just very slim, efficient code. The site was blazing fast after that, scoring 98 to 100 even on mobile, where before it got scores between 30 and 60, depending on the page. We purposefully did not change any of the content in order to test the impact page speed really has. Even a year after the switch it did not make any difference whatsoever to the SEO rankings. At this point, I think speed matters only once it starts affecting user behavior. But for that, it matters more that the page is clearly structured and not cluttered with irrelevant animations or pictures. I'd certainly prefer a simply text-only page with substantial content over fancy animations, no matter how elegant, any day. But if they support the content and maybe help me to grasp the main points made better, as suggested and demonstrated in the video, cool. I am sure that keeps people on the page longer. And THAT certainly is a relevant SEO factor.

While it looks really engaging, you got a lot of technical issues on the page. On my screen (2k), images are aligning to left, there's a huge space/gap between these yellow cards, the only correct thing is the long walls of text. I guess we can call it blog post 1.5? Till it's mature/stable enough to be 2.0. Thanks for the inspiration.

I wonder what's the quality of accessibility in website generated with such tool - this is required for disabled people who are blind or who have to use website without a mouse. Your website does not respect user preference for reduced motion - this may cause headaches for some people. Also, what about SEO? I took a look at your linked website and SEO fundamentals are broken - subheadings are implemented as paragraphs instead of correct h1/h2/h3 tags. Your site could look pretty but it may not work for disabled people and may not be properly indexed by Google. However, your page has some bugs, at least in my browser. Clouds are strangely cut in the middle and some non text elements are misaligned, justified to left instead of center. Basically, besides accessibility and SEO even the appearance itself is kinda broken.
@MalewiczHype2 ай бұрын
There are tools to add accessibility features to it and my take is to create a dedicated version of the blog for people with disabilities - it will also load faster. As for bugs - this is currently only created for two breakpoints, I stated it above the link, I'm still working on other breakpoints here. It's more of a proof of concept / exploration than a fully finished post (yet)
@tomaszgasior7722 ай бұрын
@@MalewiczHype > my take is to create a dedicated version of the blog for people with disabilities This is not how websites are expected to work. Websites should be accessible by default, without need for separate variants.
@MalewiczHype2 ай бұрын
Maybe most websites but I don't believe in a lower common denominator and I will be making dedicated versions - including one for screen readers and one with black background and yellow text. That way everyone gets an experience suited for them, not averaged.

I honestly much prefer blog posts that look like books or proper articles without distracting "by the way" sections in the middle. Your "Blog post 2.0" is admittedly really well made and the graphics do add value to the text, but I would have read it even if it was a wall of text. Especially the animations do not add much value for me. Moreover, they are a bit buggy when near the screen edge, they start over and over. Lastly, you have to carefully consider accessibility, never assume someone will be able to see the images or animations.
