Malibu Woolsey Fires Burned Down This Home... Concrete to Liner Koi Pond Rebuild!

In 2018 the Malibu Woolsey Fire took many homes in the Malibu and Calabasas California. We have encountered a few home owners within the past year that have had fire damage and needed a koi pond rebuild, but this homeowner had the most fire damage of them all...
This large koi pond is one of 3 on his property and in need of some serious help. These concrete ponds are leaking and need to be rebuilt with 45 mil EPDM liner.
We are in phase 1 of a 3 phase project. And in the next episode you will see phase 1 complete and the progress on phase 2.
We have also completed the Porter Ranch Koi Pond and it is ready to add the $30,000 worth of koi fish that the home owner has shipped in from Japan.

You said you are leaving the big pond alone but it looks like it communicates (slightly above level) with the part yall are working on.. will you dam it and come back to connect it once you muck out/alter the big one? Thanks so much! It's pretty sad, but everyday they are rebuilding and it's almost back to the way it was. The fires up in Central and Northern Cali were a lot worse.

I am looking forward to the continued build. What a location!! I am surprised the client with multiple concrete pools is not looking at supplementing their water features into further protecting the location with multiple water reservoirs that can be used possibly for fires. Just a thought.
