Malice mizer was one those rare bands with unique music and aesthetics. Really wish we had more bands in this french-gothic style aesthetic. I got hooked into Versailles aesthetic because of these guys!

hey i have a question, i just found out about them and i was wondering: why do they have names for like "eras" ? (gackt era, tetsu era etc) what's era and why do they add their names?

The band has had 3 vocalists, so to describe each different vocalist of malice mizer we use the word era because each vocalist gave the band a different sound! For example i like the tetsu era most for its gothic elements . Did i explain well or do you have any questions?

It wasn’t during Malice Mizer era but I watched Gackt react to his first big tour. It’s kind of heartbreaking hearing the behind the scenes issues he had going straight from the hospital to the venue and getting so many steroid injections for his throat infection that they just stopped working. It really made me think of what MM and other groups really could’ve been going through. Like- Klaha disappearing, Kami dying from something commonly related to drug and alochol abuse. It’s just sad to think about
