This is the first time I've heard her sing and she is wonderful. Auntie Genoa and Pomaikai must be proud.

Malie; that was one of the most beautiful melody I've heard; you sing with the passion of hawaiian steel guitar. Mahalo iā ʻoe no ke mele nani.

Amazing talent! She can really sing, play the ukulele and slide guitar. Looking forward to hearing a lot of new music from her now and in the future.

Yes, and I believe that she was 15 y.o. at the time. Her mom' name is Pomaikai, also a great entertainer. Thanks for watching.

@@richardynigues I've heard her mom after searching for her in youtube. I prefer Maile's voice over her mother's. She has that special tone but I'm not sure how to describe it. Maybe it's a pure and natural voice, it doesn't sound forced or like she's trying to copy anyone.

There was a jazz guitarist named Leonard Ware....4 stringed guitar. I really want to know about Malie Lyman's 4 string instrument.

Odd how her steel guitar has just 4 strings...how is that possible?
@bobshilling16622 жыл бұрын
I see three tuning machines on the side facing the camera - one partially blocked by the mic stand. That would imply six strings. It's hard to see the actual strings at that angle.
