Peep the foxy oven mitt tho.....also an essential. NOTE that I forgot to add: the reverb I use in my TikToks is the Valhalla Vintage Reverb plug in!! I will try to answer as many questions down below as I can :)

As someone who's also obsessed with VintageVerb, is there a particular Mode that you usually use? Or does it vary depending on the song?

AAAAAAYYYYY I saw that bouzouki on the wall so fast. You just said in a recent irish vid that you wanted to get one so glad you got one. Things sound so sick, I have an APC zouk from portugal. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to spend a bit more. Is really well made. Hora seem good aswell and much cheaper.

I don’t know why but when I see peoples old childhood bedrooms I get sentimental and cry, and it’s also kinda sad seeing your old recording studio/childhood bedroom untouched and in its entirety just waiting for you to come back, also the fact that a lot of your old equipment is still their just makes it a little more haunting (not haunting in a bad way but haunting in a frozen in time way).

It's funny how you refer to all your equipment and instruments as "she", but when it comes to Siri you're very adamant that it's not "she" but "it" :p Not saying that it's wrong or anything, I just think it's funny xD Love the tour, especially the explanation why you use what gear, and what's essential for a beginner. Thank you!

IIRC they made easter eggs for the smart assistants where they actually chose pronouns for them and it will tell you it. I don't remember what Siri says but Google Assistant says it/its and some other assistant says they/them.

A rather fast tour--- but I am happy to see and hear, that you are still healthy and enjoying life. I almost got encouraged by your talk above to do something like the things YOU have done in your studios------ but I am a fool to get things finished , though tunes have been sheeted out, I have not really shown them to the world, yet .

I was just hoping and scrolling to find a video like this from a channel I already like. Considered giving up and expanding my search to other channels, but lo and behold, exactly what I was looking for, from Malinda! Thanks for this! I’m trying to figure out how to get started making songs, but I’ve been unsure of what I really need. I have - a good USB mic - soundproofing pads (I’m going to make a little recording box out of a cardboard box) - good headphones, - midi keyboard - Ableton on a PC. I think now I just need to learn my way around ableton so I can edit my recordings and actually complete songs! Only then will it be the time to decide my next steps, like putting songs on SoundCloud and possibly trying to make videos (My best camera is just my iPhone 12 mini)

You can livestream with older cameras as long as they have a clean HDMI output. You would then need a capture card/usb stick like the Elgato Camlink 4k. The only things that the new generation of cameras does much better is Autofocus during filming and better low light.

Just a quick note about the new Macbooks: I had to replace my Macbook in 2020 and I have to say they're really over-engineered. The new Macbooks have had the heat vents engineered right out of them so, if you're using them for longer than 2-consecutive hours, especially if you're charging concurrently, you will notice the laptop getting really warm and you'll hear the internal hard drive loudly whirring from being overheated. Instead, I'd suggest looking for a professionally refurbished 2017 Macbook Air.

I always enjoy seeing/hearing what equipment people are using even though I don't do what you or other youtubers do.
