Malindo Air OD232 : Flying from Kochi to Kuala Lumpur

I fly on the newest Malaysian airline, Malindo Air from Kochi to Kuala Lumpur. This was a lovely flight with Malindo and I'd be happy to fly with them again!
Malindo is a semi low-cost-full service airline with a daily flight between Kochi and Kuala Lumpur. Scheduled flying time was 4 hrs and 5 min with actual being 5 min less. Departure time was supposed to be 11:55 pm, with actual being 01:10 am the next day, 1 hr 15 min late. Arrival was scheduled at 06:30 am local, with actual being at 07:40 am. My seat was 7A on the left, I had to pay for this seat which cost some 600 INR.
9M-LNH, a B737-900ER, is today's plane.
Overall Experience rating: 8.5/10
I really like this concept and this is probably the future of air travel, with the idea of reducing costs. However, I don't want to see the great FCCs of the world like Singapore Airlines or Thai Airways disappearing any time soon!

I went on that route it was good the food was great i advice you to take the night flight it cold and relaxing for the 4 hour flight.

I flew with them this year to Kuala Lumpur too. It probably is the best LCC out there IMO! I'd certainly fly with them again on short trips. Great report!

Have you made a trip report on it? I can't seem to find it on your channel, if so. But, as I've said in the video, I don't think they're Low Cost. They're a bridge between the full service and the low cost, the "hybrid" LCC. I think they're great for anything under 6 hours - totally would fly them again!

***** It's in the process! Yeah that's true that they are in the middle of budget and full service as they have what the full service carriers (IFE and food) have but at the price of an LCC. Surprisingly, my air ticket costed me the same as the other LCCs so choosing to fly with them was a no brainer.

I want to add something here. They do provide ear phones and entertainment includes, Hollywood, Bollywood & Tamil movies. I flew with them last week. Food is the same. But we lost our baggage in Transit, which they delivered home the next day.

Let's see now, AK are 10x weekly and MH & OD are 7 each. So, that's 24x weekly. So, just a bit more than 3 daily. But, now that MH is leaving, it's reducing to 17x weekly. Hope this helped!

+Jeremy Tomson Well, Malindo aren't a full service airline so they're not gonna serve you coffee/soft drinks. I'm surprised on the non-veg food though, maybe they ran out of it? It's a much better option than flying AirAsia if the prices are good enough in my opinion, but that's still me. Cheers!
