If you're looking for shopping malls and parks, head to TRX, which isn't far from Bukit Bintang. Actually, KL is more bustling at night because more people go out, and food booths stay open longer than during the day.

Great video, I really enjoyed how you just went for a walk and discovered things along the way. Much better than when people plan everything and visit the same places as every other blogger. Will be in KL next week for a holiday so this has brought the excitement levels up and I can’t wait to eat and drink some new things. Thanks.

i see many visiting vloggers/youtubers took the wrong path from klcc suria mall to pavilion (unless you love the sun/heat/fumes/rain it's fine 😅). There's a fully air conditioned walkway from klcc all the way to pavilion which is partly underground (from klcc) & continuing with the elevated walkway that you guys were on. Btw,as always, this video might be days/weeks old & you might be in different place/country at the time comment(s) arrived. May be just a reference to watchers/readers...there are many videos on youtube on how to walk from pavilion to klcc v.v. The starting point in KLCC is at the underground shopping level, right in the center near a bank's branch. Some part of the tunnel is wider than a tennis court & it only narrowed b4 reaching a foodcourt area near the Aquaria (aquarium). After the Aquaria take the elevator up & you can see the elevated walkway you were on.

When visiting Malaysia, especially the charming villages, you’ll encounter many locals who offer goods at remarkably low prices due to their genuine kindness. While these deals may seem inexpensive, especially considering foreign exchange rates, I encourage you not to take advantage of their generosity. If you can, consider paying a bit more than what they ask; your extra contribution is a small gesture that can make a big difference to the local sellers. Remember, supporting local businesses not only helps sustain their livelihoods but also reciprocates the warm hospitality they offer to all visitors. Let’s show your appreciation and ensure a positive impact during your travels!

It's a curated foodie collection of some of the best hawker dishes around the greater KL area (pet project of a billionaire undertaken to honour his late father's street food appetite). One of my favourite one stop shops to eat at when in KL. (much better value than Jalan Alor IMHO, air condtioned, AND most importantly, no pushy/grabby touts!)

The brilliant thing about Malaysia is that you can ask if you don't understand something. So, for example, that free gift thingie you got when you bought the drink.. just ask the staff what it is & if you still don't get it, then just open it up & ask them to show you how to use it. Long story short, Malaysians are friendly, accommodating & more importantly, we're "generally" English affluent, so just ask. If that person speaks broken English or doesn't speak English at all, then just look around & openly ask, "does anyone speak English?" It's truly that simple. We're a country with Indians, Chinese & Malays that make up Malaysia as a country. Even locally, it's only normal for someone to not understand something. So regardless of if it's about food or a festival or whatever else, as long as you don't understand something, just ask the people around you. O wow, Beth's figured out how to work a spoon. That's brilliant! Generally speaking, Asian meals are meant to be eaten together. For example, with every spoonful of rice / forkful of noodles, you should have it with some of the side dishes (eg. the veg & pork or whatever other meat) together. All in the mouth simultaneously & that's how you get textures & flavours in every bite. Dan, it takes 2-3 days to prepare & roast the chicken & duck, that's why it tastes the way it does. I don't mind taking you around Petaling Jaya (PJ) to discover local food. Hit me up if you're up for it. Either way, have a great trip you guys. Take care & stay safe 🍻
