I grew up closer to Oak Brook and I feel like I had been there a hundred times. I did visit Old Orchard once and it does remind me so much of Oak Brook, thanks for sharing 👍

Mom loved going to the new malls when she could talk Dad into it... this one brings back vague memories from about 1960ish. I remember an outdoor type mall with many raised structures like these many flower beds and fountains, but they were filled with water and big fish. I don't know if this is the place, nor where that mall is. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has recollections of such a place?

Thanks for sharing. I haven’t been there where I walked all around s in probably 6 or 7 years. Maybe have been there a few times in past few years but just popping into one store. I used to go there a lot in early 2000s when I worked near there. And would even go to the food court for lunches with co workers. I think food court has been gone for years? Also went to other restaurants too for work lunches. Looks like so many things have changed even in past 10 years

I used to work kitty corner across the street from Old Orchard, spent many a lunch hour there.

You can tell from the store mix and the decor that it's an upscale center.
