Mallory Park Crashes/Highlights, BARC, 31/8/20

Well what can be said about this one.
I had no intentions of uploading anything from this meeting considering how dire it looked on paper, with the MG's and Juniors looking like the only championships to have bothered (AGAIN!) and the organising club deciding to have a painfully long lunch break (which worked out as brilliantly as usual). It was looking that bad that I moved to a place I've never been to during a race meeting here since I was about 8 years old. Surprisingly the Juniors went a bit wild after being well behaved last season, resulting in one of the shortest green to red flags in Motorsport history
Excuse the wobbles and the clicking from the tripod, I am trying to pay for a new one but it's not easy being jobless

Just a quick reminder that these videos are uploaded solely to be learned from. To teach drivers no matter the age of what can go wrong and how to possibly avoid it (if at all possible) in future. There are a couple of obvious cases in this video of the latter and it's as much a part of the sport as the winning is *These are not uploaded for people to take the piss*

Why do people dislike these? Do people not want to watch what goes on outside of F1 or somethin? I do feel for these kids, it's a 2 or 3 round old junior series that's started with the 3 hardest tracks in the UK. I woudln't wanna be thrown in the deep end at Cadwell, Croft and then Mallory 😅 That's like walking out of playschool into A levels! Loved watching them in the first race, highlight of the day by far, shame the 2nd one barely got going but they probably could have saved a lot of trouble not having a 2 hour lunch break ! Typical barc. Lots of relatively well known surnames on this grid as well I think. It's a good track to have on their calendar really. People forget what you can learn by racing at Mallory

Poor juniors, they never really got going the 2nd time around. Was looking forward to these as well :( one of the best tracks for em

Glad you were there and caught that last one - I had no idea, other than it was a roller. The impact at 8 (at 3:54) that caused the long delay took out 5 posts worth of armco - I wouldn't have thought a Saxo could do so much damage. Still, I don't think we had a serious injury all day (except to team bank accounts).

I saw it going in but was nowhere near fast enough on the knackered old tripod. Made a horrible noise and the poor lad driving looked gutted. I moved cos I thought the day was a write off beyond that point, Junior Saloons were the only thing I was looking forward too cos the racing is usually brilliant and goes the distance

Good video, useful for the future generations of Junior saloon drivers of how and what to look out for. Some of the people commenting sadly seem to be the usual braindead bunch, and I don't get the dislikes on the video. I can remember the days when you uploaded very little if you don't mind me saying lol

Not a good day for the Saxos in the Junior Saloon Cars. A lot of very bent cars there and possibly a couple that won't be back on the track again... Getting blind-sided by a stalled car on the grid is every drivers' nightmare as you have so little time to react and usually little room to move. It's good to see the drivers walk away as there were some very solid hits there and nearly a second roll...

Mostly through strange circumstances from what I could see. The lad who crashed down the back I think was avoiding someone who slowed suddenly as the reds came out. And as for the second one, not a lot you can do in that situation when you start right behind the slow car

UK Motorsport Crashes There wasn't much racing with the juniors; more crashing. The MGs were more civilised, and the Sunbeam, well he was just taking the mick with a pit lane start. Which was your mate in?

Archie Handy. Raced for years. It’s the lack of seeing the flags people crashing after passing two red flag points spinning off hitting each other etc etc under either yellow or red flag conditions. You guys are fresh from your ARDS, without the bad habits of the veterans etc. Doesn’t bode well for your future if no ones paying attention.
