Very insightful video. I am not an Indigenous person, but my wife is. She belongs to the Nanticoke tribe here in the United States. I always encourage her to take part in her heritage. I also take part in this with her. I stand beside ALL Indigenous people. Indigenous people were done a horrible injustice throughout history and still today. Much love.

Thank you so much for the kind words Greg! It’s amazing of you to not only support your wife’s heritage but to participate in it with her is extremely honourable. I admire that very much and know that you’re not just making a difference for her, but you’re also setting a standard and positive example for others who have an Indigenous partner. It’s an important role in reconciliation and your family is extremely fortunate to have you ❤️

Favorite action iteam for me is holding our men's circle, which is centered around The MooseHide Campaign. Also, sitting in other circles and just connecting to all our relations❤️‍🔥🦅🍓 Chi miigwetch for this, Mallory and all you do

I’d love to learn more about your men’s circle. Groups like this are critical in supporting identity of men in our communities. Connecting with all our relations is incredibly powerful as well - you’re spot on Anthony! Chi-miigwetch for the kind words and insightful comments ❤️❤️

@TribalTradeCo sure! So, the kokums I sit with asked myself and another neech to put it together, so we did. We give men a safe space to open, heal and grow closer to Gitchie Manidoo/Great Spirit, Ak/earthi, and indinawemagannidog/all our relations. Following our kokums guidance in this is paramount, although we do have our own autonomy as well. We also cover what it should mean being a good man, in a good way, being a firekeeper, and protecting our woman and children. It's especially hard being less aggressive to other men, and trying to hold a good space for others to try and get there is what we're attempting to do, while also discussing the 7 grandfather teachings and more💛❤️🖤🤍🙌🏾

Thank you very much for this video. I find all these action items useful. So far, I have been putting in more time in listening to what Indigenous people have to say by watching videos like yours, reading blogs, articles, and books, or following other Indigenous people online. It's also been great to learn more about the culture and history; something that I did not learn in school. My cat and I bought a lovely dream catcher from a local Indigenous-owned store and I began smudging at least once a week. Lastly, this is an unrelated comment, but my cat really likes the sound of your voice. Whenever I play your videos, she'll roll on her back, show her belly, and purr!

I’m an Osage living in Canada for over 54 years. I don’t know my Osage heritage but I read the true story of a book called, “killers of the Flower Moon” that also will soon show at the movie this Fall. I knew that my grandmother and her Daughters were forced to go to residence Catholic Church . Then I also learned a little about the murders. They never talk about their school in Oklahoma and daughters in Kansas. I do not know the real stories there except I watched stories on Canadian movies about indigenous sufferings and kept quiet till they became dult nd met together of former students friends. That made me cry. No wonder why my late mother hate Catholic Churches and had join white power that I didn’t like . I’ve been abused by her till I finally left her and moved to Canada for my safety. I’m so thankful that I’m more like my late grandmother. I’m supporting the orange shirt.

I am a lost Mohawk. Due to all that was done to my people.I was never given the opportunity to learn my traditions and teachings. I was a hidden native child. I was told, Do not tell anyone your native, my parents and grandparents were afraid I would be taken and placed in residential school. I was/am proud to say I was native, but would be told by my family to only show it around our family. Not to say or show it outside our house. I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance to help me be able to learn, live and practice. My Mohawk teachings and ways from my own people. MIGWETCH in advance for any help you may give. A'HO. Creator thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon my family and myself.

You can start by apologizing to the oatman family, then you can apologize for all the churches that were burned down in Canada and all the lives that were ruined because of that bs mass graveyard story.
