Who has buffy St marie harmed? Who wrote and played the incredible music she produced? Who was damaged and defamed by her being exacrly who she is? Her music is a gift to each person who listens.she is who she is. She took nothing away from another. She has contributed a lot. Her music continues to inspire , she has a great gift that she shared with many. Thank you Buffy St Marie for " We are circling" A song that we all could sing together, its a beautiful tribute to what her music has done to the people it touched.

Anyone have cigarette/hookah/ cigar allergies? I cough and get very itchy eyes. I was reading that sage can help with allergies - anyone experience this? I really want to use sage, but wondering if the effect is the same as more toxic cigs and stuff. Thanks!

Why don't they do a DEEP DNA Test. She looks like she has indian something. Yes, it's a terrible story on her part saying she's something that she's not, and continue to stick to it. People like me have indian blood in me and haven't revealed it because I dont feel that I should take that away from them. Hopefully, she will open up and tell the truth, whatever it is. Peace, Love.

We are white. We don't get to have sacred medicine. Chicken noodle soup, baking soda, molassas, these are good for you, but being white, we don't get to attach a term to them that demands others immediately respect it. 😏 *_I invite you to my father's mothers's home. She will set cheeseburgers and apple pie before you. To refuse would bring a greaaaaat insult upon our ancestors._*

Thank you from creating this channel. I am from Puerto Rico, I don’t live anywhere near Canada I live in El Paso TX. Why is that important you may ask? It is important at least to me because I am not puertorican, though I cannot deny it. I am a Boricua from the island of Borikén or Borinquén in Spanish. I am from a culture that the educational system literally since Columbus arrived at our island was taught to believe that is less than a century we had all disappeared. I was “taught to forget” the true culture from where I came from. Our language was consider less than, I can only guide myself by the little bit I remember from my grand mother. I am on my mid 60’s now and am learning from some of the indigenous women and people of the area about all those things I was “taught to forget. From the special “power” of tobacco for lack of words because it is a lot more to start, to relearn how ro talk to nature. I hadn’t realized how much information those birds around my home convey and to understand the oddities of nature as they come by. I do have found myself asking “why do I want to dive into the indigenous culture if it is “foreign to me”? Spirit has answer in many ways from dreams, to the hawk flying above, the wolf coming to my dreams with songs and items that pop on my social media feed, the humming birds presenting themselves to me out of no where when I least expect; but most importantly the welcoming feeling of being at home with family. Being home with uncles, grandfathers aunts and grandmas, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews that I hadn’t see since childhood. It is a journey that to me is takes me home. No, my culture isn’t Apache, Tarahumara, Lakota, Navajo, Maya, Mexica or any there other my culture is Boricua from Borikén and as I discover my self through the indigenous people of the area the elders of the past guide me through my dreams and everyday events to remember what I was taught to forget. As I start my journey in this foreign land my beloved nephew is being guided to also remember that we aren’t just humans. He is remembering the connection of his own soul to nature and the ways of the of the indigenous people of the island. Our culture is barely being rediscovered our language reconstructed guided by the bit of oral history that is still left and the trade routes assumed to be used at the time of the first encounter with the spaniards. It has taken over 500 years for that culture and the descendants to reawaken and show the world the harmony and devotion that most exist between men and nature in order to survive. I feel that the feeling on my last sentence runs across the board in all indigenous people of the world. With much respect to you all, Aná

Hi, I’m eastern Cherokee. I was not taught my culture or how to respect it. But I watch videos to learn, talk to my elders if I can find them, and i currently looking for a teacher to learn my language, but that’s not the main topic of my comment. I was wondering is it respectful to hang my cream catcher on my bag with the intention to keep myself safe from bad energy and spirits while wondering town? Answers from anyone would be grateful! :3

I would appreciate thoughts on playing a land acknowledgement such as this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3WtY4SpiraEn7Msi=0axZzk0z2VKaT7Pg - it feels more meaningful and that it educates and brings people together.

I had a psychedelic experience and my brother was sober next to me and he was a Gazelle talking to me giving me water in a cup. Very bizarre and I thought I'd look up why this specific animal I didn't even know about appeared to me I thought he was an antelope but when I looked up pictures he looked exactly as a Gazelle yellow with a black pattern and shorter curved horns hooves for hands that looked as if the cup was floating with a inch or two gap between his hoof and the cup crazy as hell. The only reason why I thought it might be native related is two years prior I woke up in the middle of the night at a friend's house at around 3am and as I walked from the hallway bathroom I sensed something to my right through a doorway into the kitchen and looked and immediately my eyes started watering all the hair on my body stood up and I saw... A very old native american man staring out the kitchen sink window in the middle of the kitchen about 10 feet away I saw his left side and I stood frozen because his head was as real as anyone but he looked older than anyone can look alive more wrinkles and his expression was the look of terror but there where no legs I could see seemingly from his neck fading down I could see through and he was wearing native clothes and dark braided hair with a long skinny black and red feather in his hair, this is a lot of writing but it happened in about 60sec but the worse part was he sensed me and turned to look at me very slow scary as anything I've ever seen in my life his whole upper half turned as one unit although no expression change but his eyes looked directly into mine and I calmly in complete shock disconnected eye contact because i felt terror and violent vibe and turned slowly walked back and laid back down and threw my cover over and listened but It was dead silent throughout the whole experience this was no dream I know because there was no towel in the bathroom and I had to pull one out of the cubburd and I threw it by the sink all messed up and the next morning I woke up and obvious didn't tell anyone they would have thought i was nuts but I walked into the bathroom and saw the towel there as I left it and all the hair stood up again and I looked to my left as i was still facing the bathroom and nothing was there but I realized I saw a real ghost and a few months later I was at the same house for my friends birthday party and found out their property was built on old native land and I took like ten deep breaths and never thought about it again until after my psychedelic trip where I saw my brother as a talking Gazelle handing me a cup of water. The only two crazy experiences of my life and I don't know what the hell to think about it that's why I am randomly seeking the meaning of this online but I haven't had any luck. Have you ever heard of anything like that I think I may have some spiritual connection somehow and It is unsettling that something like that may happen again unexpectedly.

I bought a Dream Catcher today for $20.00 from an elderly Navajo woman. She said that she makes them by hand and bless them with sage smoke. There aren't any jems, as I realized after bringing it home. Normally, turquoise bits. Should I put in my own gems and bless it with sage?
