Got myself an MPC 2000XL in 1999 when I was just 19, I loved that machine so much, I left it in my parent’s home in France when I moved to Japan, willing to get back but without breaking the bank I purchased the MPC Studio mkII that everyone on KZbin hated on, but it’s actually fun. Thanks for your videos brother.

I agree with you bro, because at one point I had the MPC Live Retro, Maschine Plus, and SP-404MK2, and I became a Jack Of All Trades, And Master Of None lol! Less is more for me, and I'm able to dig deeper into my sound instead of worrying about different workflows. Great video my brother!!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚

Have almost the exact same setup. Definitely want to add the Analog Heat mk2 but overall very similar + the MPK Play. That, the One, and the SP404mk2 is the ideal setup for me, along with the MB Pro M1, Logic, AT BT record player, and the Focusrite - that’s all I need. Less is very much more for me too, brother. But I’m also a minimalist at heart. So, I’m constantly purging. The “limitations” almost force your hand and drive creativity. I love that. Some cats who are “gear heads” get every piece there is to get, but at what cost? Being buried in stuff collecting dust? Only things that bring joy and allow you to get right to creating! Thank you for sharing, Malo. I just love your approach and perspective so much, fam. From a beat head 10 years your senior, you’re wise beyond your years - never lose that brother. Dope vid as always.

Thanks for sharing Malo! The studio is looking great and I like the workflow you have designed for yourself. I noticed a few edits in this video you may not have meant to go in the final version. I normally wouldn’t say anything as a critique, but your videos and lighting always look on point and the videos are edited cleanly. I know you usually post stuff in members only before making it live to the public so I wanted to give you the chance if you had the want to change it. Thanks for doing what you do, I’ve learned many tips from you!

Great tour of your studio. It's very interesting to see how you work. And I agree with you, everyone got to find his own way to work music. I choose the MPC one because I feel more comfortable with the Interface. And I expland the I/O with an old Zoom R16. But it's fine for Me, i can plug mic or instrument on it, and record. If you only sample from vinyl how do you clear your beats to sale?

I don’t sale any Beats. But if you’re going that route I would check to see if any of the vinyl records you have are in TRACKLIB.com and they are perfect for handling the clearing side for you. All you pay is a fee of $50 and a percentage of your streams and your all cleared.
