Hi Alex. The word 'third country national' is not offensive, it's a term used for nationals outside of the EU, it's not derogatory in itself: ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/pages/glossary/third-country-national_en So yes, in Malta there a re a lot of 3rd country nationals and that means nothing bad (or good) :) it's just factual. P.S. Also has absolutly nothing to do with 3rd world country. An American would be a third country national too.

​@@AlexinMalta Ah right, well first of all I'd like to apologise to you for that on behalf of the maltese, it's actually embarrising for me as a maltese person that other maltese people act that way. I mean, ignorant and racist people exist everywhere I guess. They are usually fed up with their life or just dumb and like to take things out on others to feel like they have power. I think any insults would be coming from a position of both ignorance and frustration, and I think some frustration comes for clashes of culture. The ignorant part is when people put all individuals into a group (like 3rd country etc) and then just decide that all such people are causing problems whenever they hear of an incident involving one of them. Just keep in mind that the vast majority of people do not look down on anyone from any country :)
