You left us speachless after singing the part in Polish. +Malukah Well... to be honest, I don't think it's that great, actually. I'm sure you could do better. Polish language sounds much more "clear" than english (some word phones, like t, d, s or c). Try this to hear www.ivona.com/us/ - i's quite good, choose "polish, Agnieszka". But anyway, your covers are truly beautiful. I like them very much. And you, guys, should watch the movie "Double life of Veronique" by K. Kieślowski (Malukah, he was maybe the best polish director ever, famous in the world mosly for his Three Colors Trilogy - "Blue" is one of the most artistically impressive movies I've ever seen) featuring french actress Irene Jacob. She speaks with absolutaly PERFECT polish accent. It's just stunning, really hard to believe. Od course, there was polish director but still it's sounds great.

The lyrics as sung in the video, with Polish parts.. *These scars long have yearned for your tender caress* *To bind our fortunes, damn what the stars own* *Rend my heart open, then your love profess* *A winding, weaving fate to which we both atone* *You flee my dream come the morning* *Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet* *To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy* *Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep* *Za wilczym śladem podążę w zamieć* _(The wolf I will follow into the storm)_ *I twoje serce wytropię, uparte* _(To find your heart, its passion displaced)_ *Przez gniew i smutek, stwardniałe w kamień* _(By ire ever growing, hardening into stone)_ *Rozpalę usta smagane wiatrem.* _(Amidst the cold to hold you in a heated embrace)_ *Z moich snów uciekasz nad ranem,* _(You flee my dream come the morning)_ *Cierpka jak agrest, słodka jak bez* _(Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet)_ *Chcę śnić czarne loki, splątane* _(To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy)_ *Fiołkowe oczy, mokre od łez.* _(Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep)_ *I know not if fate would have us live as one* *Or if by love's blind chance we've been bound* *The wish I whispered when it all began* *Did it forge a love you might never have found?* *The wolf I will follow into the storm* *To find your heart, its passion displaced* *The wolf I will follow into the storm* *The wish I whispered when it all began* *Did it forge a love you might never have found?* *NOTE:* 1 -- I don't speak Polish, I just play around with g-translator based on the sound in the video, so I might've wrote the words wrong.. 2 -- The words in the bracket is NOT the "exact" translation, its rather the English version of the part of the lyrics sung in Polish..
@HandsomeGamerGuy5 жыл бұрын
Well it's one of Deandelions Ballads; The love between Geralt and Yennefer.
@ghuul5 жыл бұрын
Of course it's not an exact translation, but quite alike. For example: "Za wilczym śladem podążę w zamieć", literally means: "Following the wolf's TRACE I will come into the BLIZZARD" (wherein the verb 'podążać' is an old-fashioned poetic or literary word, not used in colloquial speech, especially in such 'perfect future tense' form).
@ada-dech4 жыл бұрын
@@ghuul Thanks a lot for the confirmation.. I'm glad it wasn't far off wrong, what I did was just translating a whole line of English lyric into Polish in g-translator.. then break down word-by-word to find the likely alternative words that match the sound of Malukah's singing which still relevant to the whole line of the lyrics.. Like I said I don't speak Polish, I just happens to have too much free time and a 'good' hearing.. but I came to know quite bit of Polish words during the time I did play around with this lyric..

I was so excited to see this in my sub box! I absolutely love your work, and love the vibe you give off with your music. The washed out reverby feel works so well with your voice, but I thought I might share a cool thing I do sometimes when I have to compromise with such a huge washy reverb. I send the vocal to a reverb fader, so I can control the level of the reverb that way, and then I eq the reverb so that it is not competing so much with the lead, but still gives the vocal a feeling of being in a space. Again, I absolutely adore the washy reverb sound, but I also wanted to share a cool trick for a future song you want to have a different feeling! Keep on doing what you are doing!

I'm polish soooo...this is all words 1. I just found out that I waited almost a year to write this comment... but when you posted this song it was perfect timing for me. I want to make movies and I got stuck in the paperwork and funding attempts for my first feature and I didn't have any motivation left, and then you released this song and it changed a lot for me. I never played the game, but I grew up on Sapkowski's Witcher saga and I absolutely love the fight scenes. And this song triggered memories from the books and helped me go on with the not-so-sexy film paperwork. Thanks a lot 😀

This is a wonderful redition of a song i fell in love with the first time i heard it in a game. Thank you, Malukah, for not only understanding the music, the feelings it envokes, but also adding a part of yourself that enriches the melody and meaning of this condensed story. These scars long have yearned for your tender caress To bind our fortunes, damn what the stars own Rend my heart open, then your love profess A winding, weaving fate to which we both atone You flee my dream come the morning Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep The wolf I will follow into the storm To find your heart, its passion displaced By ire ever growing, hardening into stone Amidst the cold to you in a heated embrace You flee my dream come the morning Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep I know not if fate would have us live as one Or if by love's blind chance we've been bound The wish I whispered, when it all began Did it forge a love you might never have found? You flee my dream come the morning Your scent - berries tart, lilac sweet To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep
