My mama sang faithfully on the choir until her illness prevented it, and every alto around her know that she had EVERYTHING in her purse/bag… candy, Lance crackers/nabs, Altoids, mini boxes of raisins, all types of the small Nabisco cookie, little individual packs of tissues, band aids, Tylenol and Motrin, Alka Seltzer… and sometimes hats and gloves that she would buy just in case at Dollar Tree… and randomly a gift for some single mothers child. And she talked to some like she was their mama 😅❤ I really miss my mom

At my church it was Miss Ola who took the tambourine hostage every Sunday and at some point during a song from the choir Miss Ola was going to get Happy and fall out of the choir stand! 😂. There's a little door right beside the choir stand and at least once a year Miss Ola was going to fall out that door! But she was never hurt. He's good and Gooder than Good

I was raised in the Southern Baptist church in the south, played the piano for the choir and also sang soprano. EJ nailed this. The choir director needed new members and put out a plea for folks to join. My dad, always doing the Lord’s will, joined. He looked great in the back row at 6’2” and handsome as all outdoors. But he could not carry a single note. Choir director pulled him aside one day and said “Wayne, we love having you in the choir, but could you sing a little more quietly?” 🫠🫠🫠 I have two million similar choir stories. This is my favorite sketch, EJ!❤️🥹😅🤣

Yep, we paid GOOD MONEY for them robes too! Had fund raisers and fish frys for 2 YEARS for them robes, just for them to sit in back in the "family hall's" back closet! Yes ma'am, got plenty of them too because we had to buy in bulk so we had to order 50 of them, even though we only have 16 members and 2 of them never come to rehearsal... 😂🤣🤣😅
