My mother cannot and will NOT stop talking while I’m driving. She goes non-stop. If I don’t engage, she calls one of her sisters or a her friends and proceeds to talk to them on speaker phone. 🤦🏾‍♀️🥺 But one thing I have to pray about before she gets in my car, is her need to give me directions like she is Waze. She questions every single direction I go. “You know I have a short cut. Why you going this way, we gonna hit traffic.” “No Mommy I’m going my way, I’ve lived in this town for 30+ years, I know my way around too.” Then she proceeds to huff and puff when I don’t go her way. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Lastly, my mother yells other drivers or tries to hunk my horn, when someone simply breaks in front of me. “They flying like bats outta hell, in a rush to go no where, slow your tales down!” 😂 Lawd grant me patience!

I am 52 years old. I lost my mom last year, but before that i think I clocked hundreds of miles in the car with my Momma and this just brought it all right back and I love it!! She mustve said everyone of these statements AT LEAST once per ride. We didnt fight about the music though because it was understood that when Momma was in the car, she picked the songs and it was always the Blues!
