I'm getting a ton of comments about my shelves and how to remove them; I share them up close and personal in my Instagram stories today if you need more details and think you can figure out how to help me... I cannot TILT them out.. I'm not a complete idiot.. just 50% idiot. lol Okay maybe 70%.

I just came on here to help with this lol! I have the same shelving. Remove the tabs. If you have to pull all the tab shelf supports out, do it and THEN you can tilt them out. There should be enough room if you take all the tabs out.

Also, if you want to just move the shelves, you don’t have to remove the shelves themselves...just pop the tabs out, move the shelf and pop them back in.

1) Your personality and humor makes me so happy! You are one of the most genuine people on KZbin. 2) Putting my spices in a drawer was a LIFE CHANGING decision. They lay with labels facing up so I can see all of them. I keep the ones I use frequently towards the front. I only have three drawers in my tiny apartment kitchen but the sacrifice of space is totally worth it.

The first time I organised my pantry I bought a chalk marker and chalkboard labels and went all out. This last time I simply cut out the labels on the bags/boxes as well as the expiration date and stuck these on the outside of the jars/containers. It’s made it so much easier when I swap the product out of the containers. Plus, added bonus is that i don’t have to spend $$s on new labels and markers!! By the way, thank you for always putting a smile on my face. Your videos really DO put a lil happy in my day!! 😊

I like my jars to have a uniform look so I use either dollar store labels or a box of printable file folder labels from a job I had 20 years ago! God knows I'm not going to use them for filing so I use them in the kitchen. And no, I DO NOT use my printer! I just use the same fine tip pen and write neatly. When I have to switch jars I can sometimes peel off the label from one jar to stick on to another but if it rips it doesn't matter, I have a ton of file folder labels. (It was a box of a 100,000 I think, lol.) I actually also use them to label leftovers and make ahead freezer meals, too. I love re-purposed office supplies! P.S. I save the bags/boxes the sugar, flour, etc., came in in a binder. I have a bunch of plastic sleeves and I insert the bag or the flattened box. When I get a new bag or box I replace the old one in the binder. That way I always have the instructions/nutritional info and even more important, the expiration date handy. I have a lot of office supplies. 😳

You can take a shoe holder and hang inside a door for packs of spices and other cooking items. They work great. I like the large containers. I have them for cereal and baking items but don't have a pantry so they stay in a cabinet. I keep a few spices next to my stove but others I put in a bin and bring down when I cook. It keeps them all together.

Hack for Mason jars peanut butter lids mayo lids parmesan cheese lids work on them . so for the big mason jar try fitting cosco sized condiment lid like mayo or a sauce might just fit. I never use the metal lids the jars come with anymore.

We cook often and use the heck out of our spices, so your problems are all too familiar. We purchased the Talented Kitchen spice jars (comes with labels and a funnel!) for about $24 and the Seville Classics adjustable wooden spice rack for $23. Both are on Amazon and they've absolutely eased our cooking!! We have an open shelf that we "display" our spices on, but you could stick them in a cabinet without a problem. We just throw the extra spice containers in a basket in our pantry. Looks beautiful and works really well! I can't recommend them enough.

I am proud of you for persevering. I would have gotten stuck on needing to air dry all the containers before loading them up with dry goods! The cupboard thing. I totally get it. I have similar shelves. It was so impossible to move and it was in a key spot in our cabinets in our little kitchen. Let's just say we just adapted. Corner cupboard where you can't get the shelf up or tilted and it's a weird shape... forget it. I measured my spice cupboard and bought plastic containers from dollar tree. That way I can see everything we have if I slide it out.

Had a crap day, but watching you always makes me smile no one is perfect but love how you just go with the flow and don’t pretend to be perfect. Thanks for making me smile and laugh. TIP: for filling in the containers use parchment paper to help you funnel the powder sugar in. Place on your counter and fill pour it in the middle of the parchment then grab the back and front corners and slowly shimmy it in the container.

I put all my spices in large baby food jars and put magnets on them with E 6000.. And then I Mounted a piece of metal with a decorative edge on it to the side of my cabinet. And then I just stick my jars on the metal.. And they have labels on the bottom of the jar and it's easy to see them and use them.. And I can tell when my spices are getting low so I write it down to refill..

I just found your channel and I have to say, it's so nice and refreshing to see someone as real as you. I love that you are not a Pinterest perfect mom. I just organized my pantry yesterday. Not the most fun task but necessary. I ordered some plastic food storage containers on Amazon that were actually a pretty good deal. There are 15 containers (w/lids) in various sizes for $35.

You need a turntable for your spices. You can fit a lot of jars on them and spin to see the ones in the back.

Use a marker to write on tape until you find a labeling system you want to use. You can use the Ikea containers to make pre-measured cookie dry ingredients for when you are in a rush to make cookies, or whatever your favorite go-to snack is. You could even use them to store pasta, dry beans, or dried potato flakes in.

You will love the tilt down spice organizer. It does not hold certain large jars though it I love the labels and just pulling down the shelf I need. I also use those small plastic baskets like you, for extracts, odd jars and packages. I just found you this morning and had a laugh! Have a blessed day😘

Finished organizing my pantry last week. So tired and proud of myself that I don’t want to cook and mess it up. Bottom line, not cooking appears to be easier than hunting for my recipe needs in my pantry. Hey, at least I am not over buying duplicates anymore. hey!! Not sure if you have these or not but you can use canning labels that dissolve when you wash the containers. Great things!! You can find them where you would buy the canning jars. Not in a craft store. I do not have a true pantry only my cupboards. I use one near the stove with all by cooking needs and one near my mixer area for the baking needs. Don't know if that helps?!

I bought a pack of plastic seasoning containers for mine! They are bigger than normal ones by a little bit so they hold more and then I don’t have 12 different shaped containers! They look very uniform and fit better!

I decant my big bulk items into cleaned out Limption Iced tea containers. I have 7 with white rice, 8 with different cereals, 2 with diffrent flours and 4 with diffrent sugars

I have the YOUCOPIA spice rack I think it hold 30 bottles (they have smaller ones) and I LOVE it. The drawers slide out and down so you can see everything. I put it on my top shell since they drop down a bit. I mostly put the ones I don’t use everyday or hardly in it.

Hey, Kim! That box on the top shelf with spices, take its lid from under and use it as another container for the spices on the bottom shelf. Then you can slide those out when you need something in the back. ☺️

I keep hemp seeds, chia seeds and flax seed powder in the fridge. They can last years in there. And you can also keep them in the freezer and they will last even longer.

Cut the labels off the bags of rice or pancake mix and stick in the containers till you get labels. Chalkboard labels are great for pantry stock

I got a 3 tiered spice shelf from target (threshold brand). It was a little pricey but I like how you can see everything in the back well. And then I ordered inexpensive empty glass spice bottles from amazon. Felt a little “extra” (especially dumping all the spices into different jars lol) but it is SO convenient and much easier to find things!

Jen Chapin showed how she cuts down the bag as you use up the product (i.e. your flaxseed.) Sometimes you’ll clip off the sealing mechanism, but oh well. Use one of those clips! It saves so much room!

I got these magnetic spice jars. I stuck them to the side of my fridge, which happens to be right next to my stove and it is very convenient. I have close to 40 different spices that are all easy to see and easy to grab now.

For the spices, you can always make a lazy susan with two cake pans and some marbles! If you pick them up at the dollar store, itll only be a few bucks. I did this for mine not too long ago. I just bought the largest pans that could fit in my pantry and it has been so much better 👍👍 even though it fits a few less spices, i find i dont really care because it makes EVERYTHING so much more accessible. 😁

Hi, Great haircut! I store my spices in baskets a little taller than the one you are using for the spice packets. It makes it very convenient when I'm cooking , I just pull it out. I have 2 one with my regular spices and one with baking stuff like vanilla extract and cinnamon. Love watching your channel.
