I sell on Etsy and see so many Etsy sellers in the forums I'm in talking about shops being taken down. The same would go for Harry Potter and other popular, copyrighted things. Brilliant idea though, Jennifer - thanks for the inspiration! x

As someone who's been selling my own Print-on-Demand books for a few years now, I want to encourage people to give this a go. If you're able to generate £20 of profit - worldwide - per day (per book), then 10 different book titles = a very respectable £200 per day of passive income. Which equals around £6000 per month. That's not to say it will be easy. You will need eye-catching covers (to stand out), good keywords (the top search result gets 40% of all clicks), the right categories, and the right descriptions. Best of luck! Note: You *cannot* change a book's title or subtitle in KDP once it has been published. You would have to delist it and restart a new listing in KDP's back-end.

Hi Jennifer Long time fan. I've watched your videos for many years and used much of the information you have shared to improve aspects of our financial management, whch has benefited us hugely. Wanted to share a tip for the community here. 1923 is a decent marker to set for artwork which forms part of the public domain, but it isn't strictly acccurate. In the UK, copyright protection subsists in an artwork for the lifetime of the artist and then a further 70 years after their death. It is after the 70 year period that the art becomes available to the public. Keep up the good work :)
@JenniferAMThomson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jamie - yes completely correct. Any UK work falls under the copyright here, and even whichever country the author/creator originally shared the work in. The example in the video was for US based work using 1923 as their particular copyright laws. I like the example using PLR works as well as you own the copyright from the creator completely regardless of year of creation. Thank you for the kind support of my work and the great comment.

You CANNOT ever sell books that infringe on copywrite and/or Trademarks unless under license. Do not attempt to create anything on Harry Potter, Disney or anything else that infringes on others intellectual property. You will leave yourself liable and Amazon will close your account immediately at best, You will also never get your KDP account back. I am going to preface this and say I started KDP in March 2020 and KDP for no content and low content books is a fantastic opportunity but I have to stress that Bookbolt is the biggest pile of crap out there. First of all Amazon Do Not publish their search figures to anyone. Not one single company outside of Amazon. Also the figure you stated of 165,000 searches is actually the 'Keywords everywhere' Chrome extension and that figure is Google searches per month not at all on Amazon. I appreciate this is your channel not mine but from one Glaswegian to another ( lol ) and anyone reading this, is to consider the one off payment to Tangent Templates instead. I would also recommend taking that Bookbolt subscription fee and instead use that to subscribe to Canva Pro especially if you are not naturally artistic. Yes they have Puzzlewiz but of course you then have to move up a tier and pay ~£20 a month and there are alternatives out there should you wish to go down the puzzle route. In my view using a 'tool' like Bookbolt is only going to lead new people to KDP down the wrong path. Sadly however, because they offer an affiliate program every single KZbinr out there keeps recommending this software to every newbie out there and there is ways of ascertaining whether a niche is worthwhile by using your Brain and a couple of free Chrome extensions. By using this tool or others in its ilk you are not learning what niches are over saturated. It can't teach you or show you how to then Niche down. It provides figures that are at best guesstimates on sales and all anyone new to this game will do is create books in these fields only to see them lost in the vast mire with the only winners being those who promoted the software and the company itself.
@JenniferAMThomson3 жыл бұрын
Completely agree with your passion and for the copyright comments - I would only use it as suggestions on topic areas (such as wizards or similar) rather than a brand specifically and call that out in the video as you said. I have only used BookBolt myself personally, and haven't used Tangent Templates but found BookBolt really straight forward plus I like the idea of being able to cancel it after the free trial so you don't need to even outlay anything just to test your concepts. As you said this was just one of the ideas given in the video (I do really like the Puzzle creator as being unique and straight forward) and also the video contains a third way to make money not using BookBolt or similar. Appreciate the comment and thank you for your input here too.

Sadly yes, irrelevant of what you're selling or providing, if you're generating 'any' income then it may be taxable (assuming you're in the UK like me). Better safe than sorry and I don't believe it can be side stepped on the website either from memory. Good luck with all though!
