Yessss Mamamoo! they’re an incredibly diverse group when it comes to their music and are known for their amazing vocals! If you can, I recommend watching a live performance of theirs next cause that’s where they shine the most but MV wise I definitely recommend Starry Night or Yes I Am next. Mamamoo are amazing. "Peppermint Chocolate" has an old school groove and visual that you would love. "Piano Man" shows off their jazzy vocals. "Mr. Ambiguous" is beautiful to see and hear. So many songs from these girls. Their live performances are definitely worth viewing. They put on a great show.

Watch a live performance!! If you want vocals I recommend watching their performances at Immortal Songs (Love sotry of a girl, Delilah, Backwoods are my fave). Otherwise Starry Night, or Sleep in the car that has more of a hiphop vibe.

Great reaction. I don't know about kpop clubs but Korean artists regularly tour the US. BTS recently sold out all their dates in the US. I missed them but I saw indie rock group Hyukoh at a club in Philly in Sept and I'm going to see Amber from girl group f(x) in NY in Dec. Day 6 will be in Atlanta on Nov 14 and Minzy from the defunct iconic girl group 2NE1 will perform in Atlanta on Nov 30. Regarding Egotistic, the cat was CGI and it's a jaguar. It's not a random big cat like a tiger, leopard or cheetah placed in the MV for no reason. Jaguars live in central America so it fits with the latin vibe and it has a symbolic meaning relating to Hwasa's character in the MV. Since you're not familiar with Mamamoo you might be interested to know that Egotistic is from a 4 album series they're doing this year. Each album has a theme color & season, each album title refers to one of the members and that member has a solo song on the album. They said they're using the colors & seasons to explore different sides of themselves as artists. Egotistic is the main single from the red & summer album Red Moon featuring Moonbyul, the rapper pictured on the red crescent moon. Imo in the MV each member acts differently, reflecting their personal associations with the color red in relation to the heated emotions of the lyrics about the egotistic lover who makes them 'see red' with anger. All that combines with the passion of flamenco guitar and the sultry latin & reggae rhythms to produce this red-hot summer song. Here are the stage names of the members in age order and their 'red' personality traits as I see them in the MV: Solar (pole dancer, group leader) - sexy, strong, passionate Moonbyul aka Moonstar (throws chair, primary rapper) - angry, defiant Wheein (w/car, starts fire) - tough, bad ass, hot-tempered incendiary bitch on wheels Hwasa (w/jaguar, youngest member aka maknae) - wild, fierce, uninhibited I should mention that Mamamoo are total method actors in their MVs and that Wheein, for example, is usually a very shy, sensitive, insecure girl with enormous dimples. For a while, the main rapper, Moonbyul (mariachi outfit) was overshadowed by the powerful vocals of her fellow members, but now she is able to show that she can hold her own vocally. They can do power or finesse equally well. Pretty much all of them are capable of rapping well, just not in released songs. Some Mamamoo releases have Hwasa (faced off with leopard) rapping; she can also do a whiskey-soaked torch singer tone like nobody's business. Solar (floral top, pole dancer) is the most powerful power vocal, and she makes it look effortless. Wheein (electric blue outfit, lighter flinger) is lighter (more angelic) in tone.

Ha, prob the closest thing to a Kpop club is Iron Age, it’s a Kbbq restaurant with major sq footage and they have neon lights and pulsing Kpop on big screens throughout the restaurant. Go on a Friday or Sat night-it’s bumpin’ in there. Haven’t seen any dancing though sadly.
