There is never a dry eye left after "hello mama", not even for mamamoo themselves They said at one point, possibly even that 'sketchbook' episode, that every single one of them ran off in tears to call their mothers when they finished recording their part of the song

During Ten Nights Byul forgot her lyrics, that is why Solar giggled at her, and because she forgot her lyrics, it made Whee In forget her lyrics, and the whole song was thrown off. I love watching the full group cam version of their MusicCore Ten Nights performance, Moonbyul hits her belt, the audience screams for her in excitement, and Solar has the cheesiest proud smile on her face. Never fails to bring a tear to my eyes.

Oh yeah, every member has a dedicated fan channel that starts with 'm' that uploads fancams from concerts, fan meets and such Moonbyul's is move, hwasa's is mintbox, wheein's is moderato and solar's is mabe (but there are jokes that it is moonbyul) Byul and hwqsa especially are quite close with the fans that run thosr channels/accounts/cams and will look for them at group performances (with byul getting mock angry one time she caught move focusing on another member briefly) Mintbox has uploaded videos with subtitles for hwasa's solo stages (such as the 4 seasons concerts) and has even recorded and uploaded some of wheein's stages with subtitles (because wheein and hwasa are such important parts of each others lives)

It's been a while since I listened to reality in BLACK and it was fun to revisit it with you. BLACK stands for Bless Life And Carry Knowledge. I never thought of it as a continuation of the 4 Season 4 Color project but black does complete the Taoist 5 element color scheme and I think that was intentional. Otherwise there's no connection to 4S4C because the title track isn't about a stage of love and there are no more seasons to explore or members to do solo songs. That version of Destiny & Hip is one of my favorite award show performances. The costume and genre change is like going from Back to Classic to Back in Black or MMM taking you to church and then for a ride down the Highway to Hell. The premiere performance of Destiny on Queendom is the definitive version though - the epic and cinematic qualities you mentioned are there but in a completely different form musically and conceptually. I don't think it's spoiling anything to say that musically rather than classical & rock it's spaghetti western OST meets future trap and conceptually it's a technicolor shootout at the Queendom corral meets a time travel kdrama of fated soulmates overcoming the failures of multiple lifetimes before achieving their destiny to be together. That will only makes sense if you watch it and even then it might not cuz it's just my opinion. :) Good interpretation of the Destiny lyrics. They return to this destined sisterhood theme several times in reality in BLACK, as you noticed in Universe. Moonbyul's timing was off at the beginning of Ten Nights, that's why she smiled and Solar giggled. I dunno why they did such a cut version for Inkigayo but you can find other live versions with Moonbyul hitting that high note. The best live version of 4X4ever is at the 2019 KBS Song Festival where they started with Moonbyul's rap while projecting a message about malicious social media comments and internet bullying. ZzZz shoulda had an MV. Woulda been hysterical. When the album came out Universe and ZzZz weren't even close to being my favorite songs on the album but they quickly became earworms. I prefer the Wheein/Hwasa version of Reality over the original recording. There's nothing like live vocals and a band playing real instruments to take their songs up a notch. Wheein & Hwasa also recorded a subunit song called Loving One Person, which was written specifically for them. There's a live performance on Sketchbook but otherwise the song went unpromoted by RBW. Solar wrote and composed I'm Your Fan. It's so childish that nobody takes it very seriously as a song but it does capture yeba leader's innocent spirit and warm heart. 💙

i don't know if other people agree, but to me the theme of reality in black is just: mamamoo. like, you kind of nailed it at the beginning when you said destiny could be interpreted as being a romantic relationship, or being about them as a group. they've been through thick and thin and they wont desert each other now. followed by hip, which is obviously their story, then universe, where they thread their names throughout celestial bodies, 4x4ever where they state their intention to be the four of them forever, to hello mama about their relationship with their mothers is affected by all the time their careers have forced them to spend apart, to ending with i'm your fan, about how moomoos aren't just fans of them but they are also fans of moomoos. to me, it's mamamoo's album about being mamamoo.

This is probably their most famous (?) album. And then covid happened. Anyway, I know these days their group activities are nonexistent. But they did just finish a world tour and are currently doing solo activities. They have promised, however, that they will continue as a group. Whether that's with rbw or not we don't know yet. Mamamoo, within themselves, have a great (genuine) relationship and affection towards each other, and with their fans as well. So I believe them when they said they'll come back. We'll just have to wait until they work it out. Wheein's company does let her do group activities and Hwasa's new company also promised to support her future group activities. So we all just need to calm down and wait for the girls. Let's support their solo activities for now. They deserve our love, whether solo/group.

9:38 oops, the Destiny Extended version you heard was actually released in the album I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST album back in 2021 instead. XD MAMAMOO has 3 official versions for Destiny on the MMM channel and albums, Destiny released in Realty in BLACK (2019), Destiny part 2 released in WAW album (2021 June), and Destiny (extended version) released in ISMMM:TB album (2021 September). The version that you reacted to in the lyrics video is also the version that MMM first performed back in Queendom (2019). XD

I love the Hip/Destiny live clip. I have the album. I love both the tracks. But the rest of the songs just float by for me. It was the same for the first album. Title tracks were great and the rest I didn't care for . The Mini albums are much better as they are great all the way through. On the Streaming there are the songs from Queendom. Mamamoo covered AOA's song Good luck. It's a great version and better than the original. The original is great.
