Allan impresses me so much in these segments because he seems so happy to be there and reverential. Often younger actors can be cocky and dismissive when they’re surrounded by a cast of elders.

They really went all out for the DVD release. Do other sitcoms have such extras on season DVD sets? A full reunion with such a long, casual conversation was really cool of them to put this together.

People laughed at Mama's Family because it was funny.Itvwas sort of a composite of Leave It to Beaver and The Honeymooners.

I love Momma's Family but there is a myth being perpetrated by Marina Sirtis of Star Trek TNG, she thinks MF was the longest running "First Run Syndication" show, but they only did 4 of 6 seasons in syndication, totaling 130-ish half hour episodes, with a hiatus of 18+ months. Where as TNG ran all 7 season in syndication and made 178 hour long episodes, DS9 was second with 7 seasons and 176 episodes.
