Same exact thing I did with my older kids about “sizing up” toys. With my older one, I realize they really don’t outgrow stuff so much. They play with things much longer than I thought they would.

Less is more. We also go for quality, mostly with the no more than 3 approach (something the want, something they need, something to read). Helps not to loose focus why we are celebrating Christmas as well. Love your thoughtfulness. The kids will love their gifts 💗

My sister does 3 gifts for her kids. 1 need, 1 want, 1 surprise. Jesus got 3 gifts, so she says they get 3 too. I do 1 or 2 big gifts then fluff it up with little bits and baubles.

My of 5 here also,I’ve been doing the Christmas matching pjs for years now. I decided to give it to them the first week of December instead of wait until Christmas Eve. I just don’t know yet which I prefer to give it to them.

We run into the issue of Christmas pjs aswell because we end up with lots of hand-me-downs. Last year we did slippers but it's tough to find the balance. I love the Lego kits and I am the same way- they can be so confusing!

We do a big stocking and 4 gifts on Christmas. This year each of my kids got a “big” gift that they specifically wanted, a big Lego set, a board game, and something cozy. And then they also get pjs and a book on Christmas Eve.

My kids loved the book “A boy called Bat!”. I didn’t realize there was a second and third book. I’ll have to go look for them now! We read other books by that author and loved them as well, too.

Hi Julie! We have 4 kids and they get a lot of joy from giving gifts to each other. This year I’m having them do a secret Santa amongst themselves, giving them each a budget of around $10. They can’t buy each other anything super nice with that, but at least we’re avoiding those really “chintzy” toys you were talking about! I recently started a KZbin channel of my own, with you as one of me main sources of inspiration! Similar to you, my channel will have content on homeschooling, homemaking, and raising a family. I would love any tips you might be able to give me in this early stage of my journey!

Hi Angelina! I always consider Secret Santa but most of the kids really want to buy for ALL of their siblings! They each brought money to Walmart to spend about $5 on each sibling, and it’s depressing to realize how little you can buy with 5 bucks! I will have to check your new channel out. Great haul momma! Also, just a tip-you may want to flip through those BSC books before giving them. I have found some of the content controversial to what me and my family believe and I would NOT want you or your sweet babe to get blindsided by something inappropriate 😩😩😩

Quite confident, yes! 😂 They don’t have access to being online unless given permission, and it’s rarely KZbin. I think I’m safe for another couple of weeks lol
