Great setup! I’m thinking of getting a T300 for mame (and various other platforms for emulating lots of titles). How are are you adjusting the wheel degrees rotation per game? I know logitech has a profiler that detects and does it for you - but does the thrustmaster wheel have a similar ability, or is it manually changed in the app when you switch games?

Friend, for MAME, Supermodel and M2emulator games, for example, you must adjust the steering wheel to 270 degrees of rotation, manually in the respective steering wheel app, whether Thrustmaster or Logitech. Most games will run just fine without changing the other settings. What will really need to be changed is the Force Feedback strength in the FFB.GUI app. You'll be well served with the Thrustmaster T300, it's a great wheel. I am at your disposal for any queries you may have.

I find that mame has a little too much deadzone by default. Try setting the advanced options in the main menu to 0.03 (not 0.30), you’ll find yourself counter-steering less.
@SuperHBecker Жыл бұрын
In this case the problem was not the dead zone but the sensitivity that was high.

@@SuperHBeckergood deal. I dig the setup. I have something similar with a flat bedside a crt. I’m about to dig into how to get linking working and it looks like you’ve already got it down.

Hows the ffb on the Thrustmaster? Looks like the G29 is more heavy on the feedback... I have the G29 but haven't tried the thrustmaster before. Love this setup!

The FFB on Thrustmaster is pretty nice, as well as on the G29. Many people complain about the G29 being noisy on the FFB, but this happens when the person doesn't know how to configure it correctly. For California Speed try the following settings: T300 (270 degrees of rotation): FFB Alternative: Min Force Left = 0, Max Force Left = -65. Min Force Right = 0, Max Force Right = 65. G29 (270 degrees of rotation): Logitech Gaming Software: Sensitivity = 75%, Spring centering force = 10% FFB: Min Force = 0, Max Force = 60. I hope you enjoy. Tell me what you think of the configuration. For any questions I am at your disposal.

How tho
@Ponlets Жыл бұрын
i followed the FFB tutorial and i could not get mine to work how do you get your FFB to work ?
@SuperHBecker Жыл бұрын
More recent versions of MAME (0.258, 0.259 and 0.260) FFB didn't work for me in California Speed. Try version 0.247 backwards.

@@SuperHBecker i would wonder why they dont update the ffb program ? thanks for letting me know tho.. will test it out :)

@@SuperHBecker that worked though i tend to get less performance in older mame versions (its not alot less but one can feel its different) game held 60fps longer in latest mame build and held stable 35 fps more often in the beach area in monteray bay
@SuperHBecker Жыл бұрын
Interesting! But, 60fps? Are you sure? Because MAME tries to faithfully emulate the arcade and this game runs in the arcade at around 30fps. Did you use any program that shows the fps on the screen? I don't use any.@@Ponlets

@SuperHBecker I will install a plug in and record it Will see how it goes I know if I disable peds I get a small boost in performance in some levels
