i also have a 645 pro and wanted to ask if you use strap/lugs for it? if you do, do you have any recs for straps/lugs? It's been pretty hard to find one for 645 pro. Thanks!
@thamende Жыл бұрын
I would go for the originals from eBay if you can find them! Luckily my Mamiya cameras have the lugs and came with straps as well. Good luck!

I agree, the 645 format is a lot more economical. I can't afford Mamiya cameras, so I have a bronica instead, but these cameras function quite similarly
@thamende4 жыл бұрын
I have found the Bronica cameras to also be very good! Which model do you have?

I think most cameras won’t let you shoot unless you wind to the next shot, unless you have a multi exposure mode which you have to select and I’d say a lot don’t even have. Just my experience though but still a valid point.

Hi I just dug mine out of the closet I have not shot with it in a long time. I am looking for a digital back mine is the same one you have. I think I need to look for a leaf shutter back I don’t think I can use the mamiya digital back with this body. I am trying to remember why I think it was too expensive or it just doesn’t work with this body. Do you know what I need to do. Thanks
@thamende3 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I don’t know if there was a compatible back for the 645 pro. I do know the 645AF was able to use a digital back if I recall. There is also a company designing digital backs for these cameras now as well, called myback or something perhaps. Could be worth checking out

Question, can you shoot by removing the power grip and nothing connected to that connector?
@thamende2 жыл бұрын
Should be able to, there is a shutter button on the front bottom corner on the main body.

any chance can you verify the operation of the mamiya 645 pro without battery cover ?
@thamende3 жыл бұрын
The battery is required to operate this camera. You may be able to

Is it possible to use the power winder as just a grip and manually wind the film at the back instead?
@thamende4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t think this will be possible as the power wonder grip mounts overtop of where the manual film advance would be. There is the option for a left hand grip bracket though!

do you lose things a lot?
@thamende4 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, do you mean like losing parts of the camera or in general 😂 ? So far I haven’t lost anything from any of my medium formats that come apart. Everything has its place or is assembled when in use
@michaelsingJiuJitsu4 жыл бұрын
@@thamende You said you don't pack a light meter because the less you have to bring the less you have to lose. lol I don't know why I but I just thought it was funny.

@@michaelsingJiuJitsu haha ohhh yeah I’ve been known to leave other equipment behind here and there unfortunately. Left a gimbal once. That was a lesson. 🤦🏻♂️
