I am Nigerian (not Hausa though). I think the family did not invite her in because they were not expecting the visit to be for such a formal reason. It is not unusual to host guests informally outside. The only reason I do not think they meant to be rude is because there is a pot (meaning something was offered as a snack) and once the real reason for the visit was exposed, his brother suddenly showed up (likely because one of the sisters told some little kid off screen to go get him). I feel your pain when Lisa vocalizes, Zain. I had an aunt (by marriage NOT blood, she married my uncle) who had a voice like that, only louder, all the time & with a German accent. She absolutely terrified me. She WAS mean too. I think everyone knows what's up with these relationships. I don't think anyone in their right minds really believes that this is an actual love match. She also was never physically present for their fights, though I believe Michael's aunt reported them to her later and that's why we didnt see her after a certain time.
