I was at a restaurant with my 2 kids today (ages 4 and 6) and the place was packed, but there was only one waitress. My kids made a comment about how long it was taking for us to get our food and I told them that as much as it stinks that we have to wait a little longer, we are SO lucky that we aren’t that waitress 😂 they obviously hadn’t thought of that and didn’t say another word about it and were so sweet to the waitress. I still have nightmares about waitressing too and I haven’t done it in almost 14 years!

Not all comedy is best in stand-up format. Her conversational channel seems to showcase her talent better. It doesn’t mean she’s not funny if she doesn’t do well in stand-up. Some of the funniest things on TV are narrative/sitcom style

My worst shift was working new years eve. My tables hardly drank and the renters of the space brought their own food to serve buffet style, so my tips were shit. I had no time to have dinner so all I had was a half a cup of rice for the whole night, and a couple of glasses if champagne. I got home at 7:30 in the morning and my shift started at 5pm. I didn't get paid overtime. I vowed never to work NYE again, and never did.
