This is a live recording, and it’s nothing short of vocal genius. Who else-ever-could achieve what Harry achieved vocally in this performance? Vocal genius requires far, far more than a great set of pipes. I requires use of the voice as an instrument to channel the deepest, most powerful emotions. No one else could do what Harry did here.

Feelings of loneliness and longing come in many different colors and shades. The feeling isn’t static; it can be as empty and parched as a desert, or as wet and intense as a rainstorm. In this song, Harry takes us on a journey, not mainly through the melody or lyrics, but through his evolving vocal. When we arrive at his epic crescendo at 2:45, we receive both a desperate plea and a forceful demand, wrought out of exasperation. And he ends on such a note of fragility. When he wasn’t feeling it, Harry was merely an incredible singer. When he reached deep within himself, here, and in Without You, his voice communicated in ways that others just can’t. A hundred and fifty thousand hits.....What the world is missing. To top it off, it’s a live performance.

I gifted my 40 yr old daughter the original LP, Video & CD @ Christmas, She cried Happy, happy tears, recalling when we watched this together, when she was still a lil' pre-teen. My favorite (among Many) is "Think about your Troubles'. Once a Daily singer, I now have 1 'cut' vocal cord, yet I Croak--sang the full song to her, which Also brought on more "Tears of Joy'' , much Surprised l recalled the full lyrics. It's among my short play-list for friends to listen to after i'm deeply "planted" in my own sweet soil, whence Both daughters will plant 1-2 fruit trees atop . "Ingie's" personal favorite is "Me and my Arrow.". Last year (now in full spinal fail) I had a friend pull out All of my Many, many LPs from 78s, 45s & 33rpms (as well as Decades of old' 8-tracks, Cassettes, DVDs and CDs ). Though they're all Extremely (financially) valuable , she'll Not let go of a Single One.. For me, I'll Never consider it Hoarding when it comes to Physical Music nor Books . Again,(even if she wasn't a full "performing artist" herself, She'll not let go of a Single one (Many, many now being fully out-of print) So happy to have collected them all. Even as a pre--teen myself, I'd cruise the beach, from Early dawn to dusk in the sand and all rubbish bins to cash-in @ a Nickel a Piece w/my 1st purchase being 'Unsung Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. Before I was home-bound, I Still sorted thru Any "Thrift Stores" as able, collecting ongoing "LP's" from All genres of music (other than ''80s Disco',' 'Acid Rock' or "Heavy Metal' bands I often replaced some damaged LPs from Miles Davis to Melvin & the Blue Notes, w/Teddy Pendagrass . Ingrid was the Only of my daughters who grew up and Treasured Musicals.. She discovered that the Youngest of "Yul Brynners" daughters (still singing, as an adult, in Las Vegas loungea) bore My name (Oh, be Joyful) , in 'The King and I. I still cherish watching that , most Specially the "Shall we Dance?" segment. My 'double vision' has likely made a bit-of-a-mess trying to type this out. . Still, I Truly wished to share these many, lifelong, Cherished memories. Thanks to All and Any wiling to muck thru & Read my Long , convoluted ramble. " 🎶🎶 Sweet Nights and Happy, Healthy, Juicy days to you All. 🎶🎶

Lol, never got the joke or message in this until now. He sings a beautiful song about loneliness and despair and when finished the audience doesn’t applaud and is indifferent. Things can be worse and people around you are often indifferent when you are struggling.

And the audience isn’t a real audience. They just stitched in a crowd shot of indifferent people; that is, they haven’t even been listening to the song.
