The american version, three years later had this episode too, I like both versions. I like all four of the Ropers too. In fact, the American version is what you call it? syndicated? So I watch it now, in 2024. Several of them have passed away, of course.

The "Three's Company" version of this episode, is so eerily similar, it's criminal! The only real difference is instead of singing bad to drive the kids away, our Mr. Roper breaks out a bugle.

This was aired Christmas Day in 73, I know because I watched it. 😀👍 It was part of Comedy Carnival, itv used to create collections of mini episodes in it,
